The Billionaire's Island Bargain

The Billionaire's Island Bargain

CADE'S POV I stood watching as the firefighters and police worked through the ruins of the penitentiary. Part of me wished David was dead and finally out of our lives. Another part of me hoped he was still alive so he could pay for everything he put Emily through. The firefighter walked back toward us holding a small evidence bag. “There were two inmates named David. Their faces were badly burned, so they’re unrecognizable. But we found this on one of them,” he said, showing me a ring inside a clear plastic bag.

WHEN TWO RED FLAGS KISS.

WHEN TWO RED FLAGS KISS.

I say, puffing out a sigh of relief. “Did you miss the part where I said you need money to buy it?” Jane retorts, spoiling my mood. “You’re broke in this prison, Don’s daughter.” “The Don’s daughter is never really broke,” I retort. After thirty minutes of walking around the hall, we leave for the canteen, which indeed has everything, I couldn’t be happier. We spend another hour browsing the canteen, then we move to a place they call the prison library. Jane spend thirty minutes showing me around, and I spend another thirty minutes trying to search for a BL novel. I didn’t find one. The only books are motivational and a few on growing flowers. What the fuck do I do with that? Plant roses in

Lies Behind Bars: The Hidden Life

Lies Behind Bars: The Hidden Life

"Boss, that woman is out of prison." Damien looked up from his table and took his glasses off his face. "She is out?" his voice came out rough. He cleared his throat and his assistant nodded his head. "Yes, she is out." "But she was given seven years, and she has only spent three," Damien said, and the boy in front of him nodded. "She got out for good behaviour and being a model inmate," Gray explained.

Curse of the Wolves

Curse of the Wolves

Our wolves, on the other hand, were sent into a quiet slumber. Rows of empty cages lined the stone walls, some stained with blood. Each one had a set of shackles bolted to the ceiling, reinforced several times over. A shrill whistle sounded from beyond a wooden door, growing closer until it swung open, revealing a face I knew well. “Good morning, prisoners.” Bargainer’s Bay’s most successful trader sang joyously. Kendon sauntered down the steps, the golden buttons of his coat catching the mediocre light. The heels of his expensive leather shoes clicked against the floor. Just one of many flagrant displays of his wealth.

Absolutely love this book, couldn't put it down. I've honestly read it more than once haha. Any chance I can buy it in paperback? This is a great book, give it a chance you won't be disappointed. Love the characters, love the book, love it!

I love this story so much that I kept reading, not realizing it was already four in the morning, and I had to wake up to take my kids to school at 7. every story by this author is beautifully written and addictive, but I love the humor and the strong female character in this story the most.

Blood and Billions

Blood and Billions

It was a pharmacy of oblivion. Kade scrambled backward, hitting the side of the bed. She began to pace the narrow length of the apartment, five steps to the sink, five steps back to the door. Her heart was slamming against her ribs like a trapped bird, frantic and bruising. She hadn't touched the "heavy stuff" in years. Not because she had found inner peace or a twelve-step program, but because she had been stripped of her agency. In prison, she had bartered her food, her clothes, and her safety for whatever scraps of peace the inmates could smuggle in; crushed pills, synthetic trash, anything to dull the roar of the guards’ laughter and the memory of the heist.

Finally Our Noble Heiress Comes Back Home

Finally Our Noble Heiress Comes Back Home

She wanted to tell Asher about the conversation she overheard in Lina's ward. "You've used up all your phone privileges this week, Magie. You can't have any more," said the block warden, Noura Ebend. "But this is important, Ma'am," Magie said urgently. "No way!" Noura said firmly. "If I give what you wanted, I would be being unfair to everyone else." "I'll buy it," Magie said, thinking quickly. "With what?" Noura asked, narrowing her eyes. The term "buying phone calls" or "visiting rights" is a common form of bargaining in prison.

Regretting Divorce: Return of my heiress Ex-Wife

Regretting Divorce: Return of my heiress Ex-Wife

"You're a billionaire, could you give me some money? My drug dealer wouldn't give me any more stuff because I didn't have the money to pay. Could you pay for me?" "You're a drug addict?" He narrowed his eyes, "Are you gonna give me money or ask me dumb ass questions? Because if you're not giving me the money, then we've got a problem." "Why would you want the drugs in prison anyway? Don't you have a lot of things to distract you from them? Aren't they banned here?" "Nothing is banned in the prison world, banned by the police, yes but not the prisoners. So, will you give me the money or not? Because if not, then I'll just have to steal it from you."

The Charismatic Charlie Wade

The Charismatic Charlie Wade

And just now, Jacelyn had told her in private that Chloe would get three hundred US dollars in addition to the cigarettes if Chloe could get Elaine’s family to buy cigarettes from her for a price of one thousand US dollars for each cigarette. Even though Bedford Hills Correctional Facility was a women’s prison, cigarettes and tampons were absolute hard currency in this place. As long as one had these two items, one would be able to exchange them for everything one could want in the prison. As for the share of the money that Chloe could get from Jacelyn, Chloe simply asked Jacelyn to deposit the money into her prison account. Although she did not need to spend much money in prison, storing mo
