“Yeah, there’s silver woven into the fabric.” I couldn’t help but actually laugh at that. What did he think was in there? Did he think that it would be bars and that’s it? They want to make sure that prisoners can’t ‘wolf out’ as one of the teens had put it not that long ago. “You think this is funny boy?” “Ahhh slightly. Not too sure what you were hoping for when you were sent to the cells, the dungee-on, the prison… we could sing the Folsom Prison Blues together if you’d like.”

His fellow inhabitants were a blend of hoboes like himself, trivial fugitives, debtors, madmen, drunkards, and killers, all of whom were subject to the impulses of the brutal guards, who profited from their charges in whatever manner they could. Worse, unlike the homes, he was unable to slip away in the night when the winter was over. His sentence for breaking a pane of glass had been four months, but the warden ignored the court's suggestion and consulted his own judgment on the matter: he made his discharge contingent upon the payment of a bribe. Having no money generally, Finn's imprisonment proceeded infuriatingly and unjustly.

“Let’s talk about it.” **** He was an inmate in a low-level security prison because the crime he committed, well, the crime that he was forced to admit that he committed, was financial fraud. That damned lawyer of his old company ensured him that being a white-collar criminal would put him straight to a low-security prison, and with that came inmates with nonserious crimes. He didn’t have to deal with murderers as fellow inmates. Martin expected a relatively easier time there. He thought he only had to serve the time, and he could be out with no fuss at all in a few years or even months.

They shouldn’t even be out here this early. I head down the corridor toward the shared cells. Each room holds three inmates, with a single bed assigned to each of them. The beds are usually stacked in a neat line, but the inmates tend to rearrange them however they like. It’s still comfortable enough. They each have a television mounted inside the room where they can watch censored programs during their free time. Still, boredom makes people talk. I move through the corridor slowly, scanning faces and open cell doors out of habit. Two years here, and five years working as a prison guard, have trained my eyes to notice everything: who’s tense, who’s restless, who’s pretending not to watch me

They both exchanged a worried glance, both of them realizing that they had not thought about the potential consequences of Emily's actions on her unborn child. "I don't know, Steve," James said, his voice filled with concern. "I mean, I'm not sure what the law says about pregnant women in prison." Steve nodded, his expression thoughtful. "I think it's something we should look into, guys. I mean, we don't want to see Emily's baby suffer because of her actions." Isabella nodded, her expression determined. "You're right, Steve. We need to make sure that the baby is taken care of, no matter what happens to Emily.” As they continued to discuss the situation, James brought up a point that had been

So my best friend has been sleeping with my fiance, how nice smiling I knew today might just be fun as I had a plan hatched in my head already Few years back “You do not want to do this Carter, this is a big mistake. It took us years to come to this, was this the plan all along, why now?” Mr Smith Russo screamed out at his best friend and supposed to be business partner, “ this is madness” he begged but seeing the look in his friends eyes he knew it was over, their alliance is over and now the company’s share has to be divided and each partner going their separate ways. “ This isn’t the end Carter” he said with much conviction, slammed the signed paperwork and slammed it on the huge burgund

I look at the fruit, at the missing knife, at the patient woman with her tablet, and I understand that this is how cages evolve. The warm room offers me tea I do not drink and a chair I do not trust. Comfort, down here, has too many hinges. First bars. Then locks. Then rooms where the prisoner is thanked for cooperating with the door. Progress, they would call it.

It made Nancy feels a bit awful because she desires to protect her client, adding, "When unexpectedly corrupted disguised authorities arrived to harass and torture those refugees in a world where there is a haven for shelter, he was assisting them in surviving. This had a detrimental impact on their mental and emotional state, which then erupted into violent fury and insurrection. As they turned over their weapons and ammo to the authorities, they expressed their willingness to participate in rehabilitation programs. But when they were in jail and going through the reformation process, they were not treated with respect as fellow human beings. By providing them with ruined, rotten food, filth

It made me agile and having full concentration in everything that I would love to do, I would always buy the alcohol that was specifically kept for Me. I went directly to the prison service in the pack and requested an audience with my prisoner, I went it and walked past all the cells. Prisoners doing all sort of things were the topic of the day here in the cells, they climbed pools and beat each other. That was the topic of the day in the prison and they deserved it,

"We are ready to get out of this disgusting place." The news hit them all at once; they didn't expect that kind of information. The dream of someday getting out of prison was one that all three teenagers shared, life was hard behind the thick bars, and it was even harder if you were there unfairly. The three boys could only imagine five percent of what the world was like and the freedom of living in it. "It's impossible to get out of here, Jack," Annette's dry voice brought everyone back to reality. "It's not," he affirmed "this time, it's going to work," and he assured with a slight smile.
