It seemed they were already used to each other by now. “Hey Claude,” Beta Boaz said carefully. “Train her.” “What do you mean ‘’train her'?” Claude stopped boxing the green bag for a moment. “She wants to be a tracker,” “Oh?” Claude smirked, “She's good as dead.” “Just the basics.” Beta Boaz insisted. “Train her body in such a way that she'll still be alive.” “Ooh! I see.” Claude chuckled heartily making me uncomfortable. I made way to Beta Boaz but as he walked out the door, Claude got a hold of me making me scream out loud. “Beta Boaz! Where are you? Come to save me!”

Their Alpha, a massive beast named Titan, stepped forward on hydraulic hind legs that hissed with every movement. "You carry the scent of the organic," Titan rasped: his voice a distorted, metallic growl that lacked any melodic resonance. "But the organic is weak. The 'Clockwork Necrosis' takes the flesh, but the iron endures." Even as he spoke, Titan’s metallic chest plate buckled, and a thick, black fluid—a mixture of oil and infected blood—leaked from a seam in his shoulder. He collapsed: his hydraulic limbs locking up as the mechanical components began to reject the remaining, dying marrow in a systemic meltdown.

She answered with a regretted tone in her voice. “Where did the titans come from by the way?” I asked like a child who is eager to know about the spiritual history that I am in with. “They are the products of angels who interact with humans… if you remember their faces it’s the seven sins because when angels started to interact with humans. The knowledge begins so as the deadly sins” She answered and it makes sense. Now I gently connect the pieces even it is not yet complete. I looked at my sigil again. Umbra couldn't help but marvel at Gideon's remarkable fortune. The four apex overbeasts—Tonitrui Eagle, Flamenie Bird, Titan Ape, and Phantom Cat—had virtually no vulnerabilities. In direct confrontations with external foes, the Titan Ape could lead the charge, while the Flamenie Bird and Tonitrui Eagle could leverage their speed to flank and support. With its stealthy movement techniques, the Phantom Cat could conceal itself and wait for the perfect moment to deliver a lethal strike. It was an impeccable strategy! Nevertheless, Umbra, Winter, and the others were worried. If the four apex overbeasts decided to rebel, could Sylvester and the other three Supremes hold their ground?

The paint was peeling now, chipped from the years. Atlas Andino's car sped around the block, squealing to a stop out front of his house. Atlas had been our neighbor since I was eleven. His family lived on the other side of town, moving here once their house had finished being built. Atlas's Dad was the Alpha of our pack, his wife the Luna. Both were fair to the rest of us, but were extremely strict. Our pack was the biggest in the country, the 'Full Moon Pack' our name. I had always hated the name of our pack, thinking it was too bland.

I wondered if he knew he didn’t have to do that to prove to others he was standing higher. I parted my lips, ready to have a go at the furry moron and give him a hard time, but my words were silenced by a loud hiss, coming from the other side of the cave. Xabat’s head snapped in Titus’ direction as both of us held our breaths. This was it. This was our make it or break it moment. He would either live or lose the battle. “I feel like my asshole is on fucking fire. Xabat, I swear, if you shoved your thing inside me, I’ll scar you, man. I ain’t a fucking bottom!” Titus hissed as he tried to sit up.

He pulls his phone out of his pocket and dials someone. I am reading the screen and see what it is he is looking at. Drones. Turning my gaze to Titus as he gives orders to launch them and track the rogues, I smile. His businesses in the human world make everything from technology to cars. His pack is one of the wealthiest and no wonder because he works hard. “Watch the screen.” He says as he grabs the remote control and turns the TV that I mounted on the wall on. He fiddles with the remote control and a live feed comes up on the screen.

One of us will be the future Alpha of the Dark Moon. The stadium atmosphere was more exciting than ever when Titus and I stepped into the ring. The remaining arena has been removed. Titus laughed at me, "If I accidentally bit you to death, I'm sorry about it." I scorned, "I will break all your teeth, so you don't become a rabid dog that bites around." Titus smirked, "I'm not weak, but those guys before me were. Don't think you can beat me if you win against a few people. I will defeat you absolutely overwhelmingly so that you will no longer be overbearing."

I spit out the metallic taste of his blood and jump back to my feet, growling. The rest of the pack rounds me, 3 to 1. Everest, of course, hangs back long enough to watch. I know his tactic; leave the dirty work for his Betas so that when they weaken me he can come in and deliver the death blow, looking like some hero. He must think I was born yesterday if he even slightly believes I’ll let that happen. “Why don’t you stop staying back and fight me head on, Alpha to Alpha?” I bark. But Everest just smiles again, blood dark and dried on his face.
