Audrey’s POV “Would you like me to make your eyeshadow darker, ma’am?” the makeup artist asked as she carefully blended color over my eyelids. I was at the hotel, getting ready for Papa’s 70th birthday party. The theme: Hollywood Superheroes. I chose to go as Catwoman, sleek, mysterious, dangerous. I wasn’t sure if Sage would come as Batman, but he said maybe Captain America. I just let him decide. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure if he could make it tonight. He’d been drowning in business meetings lately, barely reaching out.

The drinks are green, red, and black. I wear the DC character supervillain Harley Quinn costume with wigs because Bash did not agree to dye my hair while Bash wears a Daredevil costume with a masked horn head. “Shouldn’t you two wear at least a match costume?” Ryker asks. I think he’s Edward Cullen tonight with a thick foundation to look pale and red contact lens. “Ryker!” I launch myself to hug him. He laughs. “Easy there, Harley. Our last encounter wasn’t pleasant. You don’t wanna make this party a real Halloween, do you?”

His hair is ruffled up into a messier 'just fucked' version of his everyday look. He looks hot, I'm pretty sure this is him trying to dress like the joker but not going because he is too egotistical to dress as anyone but himself. It must run in the family because well, look at his sister, she's dressed as the replica of the Moon goddess that she is. Santiago is dressed as Batman minus the cape, the suit convincing me he should actually be him but I don't stare long because Adrian is watching me watch the room tonight. I don't need to see him to feel his piercing gaze of warning.

We all watched as the girls left the stage and another lone figure came out. She wore a black leather bodysuit with a matching mask, holding a horsewhip. I smiled. She reminded me of Catwoman. The mask covered almost all of her face and I wondered if, like us, she was someone who wanted to be incognito or just one of her acts.

“Then I’m here to rebuild it piece by piece because my sister will be the queen of everything.” Before she could respond, a voice interrupted. “Abhimanyu?” Taranya’s voice carried surprise as she stepped into the hall. She was all dressed up elegantly, wearing a simple and classic black dress and boots, hair tied in a high ponytail, her presence still demanded attention. After all, the Rajputs had this charm which could easily captivate anyone. Abhimanyu turned, eyebrows raised at the girl. “Ahh, look who's here! Taranya Rajput. The talented designer who nearly broke the internet a few months back.”

Everything isn't made out of candy but scary masks, make-up, and costumes. I look at the teen aisle, searching for the perfect couple costume for me and Logan to wear, but teenager costumes can't fit these huge thighs of mine. And Logan is too massive to wear anything smaller than his large frame. "Hey, Effie, why don't you and Logan be Batman and Catwoman?" Lily held up two costumes. I stare at the Catwoman costume with the picture of a slim brunette hair lady with the same skin color as Halle Berry, who wore the outfit when she portrayed the character in the movie.

I smiled at it. It was my Batman, Maxxie. And I had of course added the underwear that I hoped I would someday see him in.

Adelina remembered that all too well as she leered at him simper at the lemon gold fish who swam up effortlessly to follow the piece of flake food he had thrown in. He still looked as dashing as ever in his gelled up bang she loved to see him wear. His dark brown eyes that never seemed to hold any emotion at all. I tie my hair back into a ponytail and pull strands out to frame my face. Leon says he'll go grab the twins and bring them up, they were just changed into their sleepers, to change them into actual clothes. Of course it doesn't really matter what a baby wears but Leon loves to impress people, I also like to dress my baby boys up like little men. They look so cute! I find their halloween outfits. They went as Clark Kent and the other was Superman. I loved it so much! I even got Leon to dress up as Batman and I dressed up as Wonder Woman. It was so fun but Leon didn't like the fact that I forced him into the costume, he'll get over it.
