Forget everything else—this—this is it.” Somehow—we don’t know how—Damon ended up trailing us the rest of the park. Not by choice. By pure chaos. Everywhere we turned, some vendor or kid or game host kept snagging him. Like—at the dart booth? He won a giant stuffed bear. The size of a small car. “How are we—” I clutched my stomach laughing. “How are we gonna fit that in the car?!” Ronan muttered, “We’re not.” Heri just blinked up at the bear like it was the most magical thing ever. Damon shoved it at her. Just shoved it. And she hugged it, disappeared behind the fur, and mumbled, muffled, “Thank you.”

The girls already had their appointments earlier today but I haven't had the chance to talk with any of them. I know none of us are doing gender reveal parties. "Watch your attitude," Carla says with a glare that could stop a wild animal in its tracks. "Is it because he's as large as a bear?" I ask, eyeing him with interest. "No, it's because of his cuddly disposition," Carla snaps, eyes narrowing. "He's a real teddy bear," she adds sarcastically. Her beautiful face is turned up in a sneer and it isn't so beautiful anymore.

By the time Lydia and I got the arcade and spotted them, we noticed they both shared similar looks as they walked towards us in suspicious strides with their hands behind their backs. “What are you guys-“ “Ta-da!” They both chorused, revealing the small teddy bears in their hands. “Oh my God!” “You guys finally won?!” The one Carlton had won Lydia was brown and fluffy while mine was pink and had cute spectacles. Dean handed mine to me, “To remember me by.” “Shut up Dean, you’re going to make me cry.” I said, fanning at my eyes. “Thank you.” He kissed my forehead, “It was my pleasure.”

She was stunned for only a minute and a half but it felt like eras had passed already in her mind. After all, it was not every day that one's reality would be assailed with something else entirely new to her preconceptions. "Did what?" Tristan teased and looked around him in amusement. "You mean this?" a human sized bear stuff toy appeared into the side. "And this?" and the cute smiling pink bear cradled miniature sizes of its kind. All with different colors and lovely expressions on their faces. They were legion!

"Are you sulking?" "No." But his tone betrays him. "It's already passed," I inform him. "Now, wave at Riya. She's looking at you." The bear lifts his hand, waving at our daughter. I look at Adam. "I hope you have some balloons for her." When the bear turns to look at me, I smile innocently. "Your daughter loves them. You'd better run, Mr. Bear. Or Riya will be very, very sad." He doesn't move for a few seconds, and I know he's debating whether I'm being serious or not. Ultimately, he gets to his feet and hurries away. Watching him attempt to run in the bear suit makes me laugh.
