*** The first thing that struck Beth was the utter lack of defenses. This couldn't possibly be Pandemonium. This couldn't possibly be a city full of people of all kinds, shifters and outcasts and humans all living in a strange anarchic harmony. How could such a place exist when they couldn't protect themselves from anything? No guards, no patrols, no watchtowers or sentinels on high stone walls... Just a towering city with brick buildings at least eight stories high, and there were metal buildings too with strange unflickering lights lining the street. What in hell? What was this place? It was like stepping into another world.

"Gale" Amber City, the vibrant and contemporary capital of the nation, stands as a testament to modernity. Before l can think of something to do my eyes almost popped up from their sockets when Venus's shifted into a beast too. I was so shocked that l didnt notice the beast black in color almost teared my fresh. If it's not a big brown beast that bounced on it, l would have been dead by now.. The brown beast teared the black one and it gave out aloud howling. It kept on struggling against the brown who was in control. I took a glance at my sorroundings still shivering. And realization hit me hard that there is no single human left apart from me. Where is Alex, Ron and other students? Did they also turn into beasts like Venus.

The elders nodded but the fear remained in their eyes as they watched their King slowly slip away and the unholy monster begin to take his place. Jessebelle raised her well trimmed eyebrow and asked, "Who is her?" her face turned down in a frown. The king sighed, having no patience for the vexing woman beside him. And all of a sudden, like a wave it hit him... The sensation of his mates blood being drawn. Any control he had of his beast was gone as in the next few seconds he had trasformed completely with low growl. The elders all stood up and stepped back as the beast ran through the room and out of the meeting hall. Jessebelle stood up her eyes wide with fear and confusion before her knees

If I am not mistaken, she is Marie, the second daughter of the Menejez tribe; they lived near the Criose territory, the most hard-headed tribe; they were called the black sheep tribe. BEASTS HAVE RETURNED TO THE CITY CLAIMING ON OF US IS MATED TO THEM. STAY INSIDE YOUR HOMES. WE WILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO BULLY US, " a voice says over the loud speakers rigged on the lamp posts all over the smaller city.

I have no idea where she is within the underground compounds, so it could take another hour to zero in on her location. I trot beside the large concrete wall that surrounds the capital. Beast's nose detects no metal in the construction, only cement. This wall won't stop hellhounds and I know for a fact Greystone advised the Federation to use metal. "Find her," I tell Beast. We travel another mile before we're leaping over the wall at Beast's urging and entering the actual city. Beast picks up an unpleasant odor-sickness and death. It's one of the encampments holding humans that the government set up. We widen our circle and avoid the area.
