Nothing could calm it. Not chains. Not silver. Not the strongest sedatives the priestess had prepared for me. Yet last night… it stopped. Kanan had stopped. The memory replayed in my mind like a haunting echo. The moment that girl stepped into the underground chamber. The moment her scent touched my nose. The beast had paused. Not growled. Not lurched. Paused. I clenched my jaw so hard my teeth nearly cracked. “How is that possible?” I muttered to myself. “A human.”

Steven- jeah right. Cody- Ben give him the book, this was found with zeta. I did not read it. Ben made a cut on his stomach and pulled it out, handed the book to Xander. I turned around and just buried my face in Steven's chest, his heartbeat and scent was my comfort and I was loving it.

Harris grabbed Atticus’ hand and led him toward the picnic tables where all the adults were sitting talking. Atticus watched amused as the Beta blushed while squirming out of his mate's arms. The Beta huffed as he straightened himself while mumbling under his breath. “This is Damien, Reid’s Beta, and this is Xavier, his mate and Reid's 3rd in command. And that Omega over there with the bright green eyes is their mate, Theo.” Harris said as he pointed to the Omega who was setting one of the children on the bear's back. Harris paused and almost laughed when all he could see was the Omega's green eyes peeking over Beast's back.

Ana whispered as the beast stopped growling and just looked at her with its gold eyes with anger. “My name is Asteria, not beast, you wench!” The beast in front of her said, it grew brighter as it growled louder. Anastacia and Asteria screamed in chorus as a painful surge of energy went through Anastacia and she curled to a ball and screamed louder and louder until she convulsed and Asteria did the same. They mirrored each other as their growls and creams echoed in Anastacia’s ears while she kept her eyes closed in pain. “Nurse! Hurry!” The doctor said as Anastacia finally opened her eyes.

I'd gone to bed exhausted, my mind spinning with everything I'd learned about Kael's past and the people who'd died, but sleep brought no peace. Instead, I was thrust into memories that weren't my own—fragments of that terrible night bleeding through our bond. *Silver eyes blazing with uncontrolled rage. Claws tearing through flesh. Screams echoing off stone walls. The metallic taste of blood in the air. Children running, crying, falling...* *No, not children. Please, not the children.* *But the beast couldn't hear the reason. Could only kill, destroy, eliminate every threat it perceived and everything was a threat now. Everything had to die.*

He answered. His words made total sense. As simple as he looked, he was wise and very accurate with his intuitions. "So what's your decision father. We both know that when you cross the damn river there is no point of return." I reminded him. "Damon, That Beast is searching for a breeder. A bond and mate. If luckily Hera proves herself worthy and its instinct is drawn fully to her, it won't harm her. I don't want to think the worst that's why I still have a ray of hope that she is still alive and being kept well." He answered.

So, going against all my instincts, I bare my teeth, push myself forward and jump on blue eyed monster to rip his throat out. But the man is fast, just in time shifting to a wolf. We crash together on the ground and I manage to bite his neck, ripping hairs and skin out, my nails digging in his soft stomach. I unleash myself on him, drawing more blood. I guess he did not expect me to be like this, I took him by surprise. But now, he attacks me back, sinking his teeth in my flesh. We continue this vicious, bloody dance another few minutes, neither me nor him wanting to give up.

“Elira!” Zara’s voice rang sharp as steel through the chaos. She stood behind me, her hands weaving threads of star-magic into Maxim’s form. He was already half-gone, the Beast unfurling from his flesh—horns curling like molten stone, claws carving trenches into the earth, wings beating shadows into storm. His eyes burned, not gold, not human, but something between fire and void. He was beautiful, and he was terrifying.
