I woke up from the sound of my stomach growling, without a word; I stood up from lying on my bed; my face was a little hurt from the incident earlier when I saw my reflection, a big purple bruise. I sighed and held my cheek, and started to heal myself. My mom and dad were fascinated with my gift for healing, but it wasn't extravagant; like the doctors from our tribe, I could heal simple wounds or, like mine—Bruises.

When I was seriously checking if there would be other words hidden in the notebook, the electronic clock on the table suddenly rang, "Tic tic tic tic tic, tic tic tic tic tic", concentrating on the notebook I was shocked by the sudden sound, and the notebook fell from my hand. I looked at the electronic clock, which was still ticking, and the time stopped at 00:00.
