VELVET
She brings her hands
up to my chest, fisting my shirt as we
get soaked. She leans her head against
me, and we just stand there, none of us
moving as the sky showers us.
"Say it again," she says into my chest,
the sound of rain hitting every surface
around us.
I smile, my chin lowering, meeting the top of her head. I could smell her shampoo, my shampoo on her. Mybface starts to hurt because I can't stop smiling. She smells like me. I unwrapped my arms, bringing my hands to her face so that she looks at me. I wanted her to hear, to see, to feel, to taste justnhow much I loved her.
