"How is he?" Rose was sitting on the stairs outside Kai's house, crushing something in a white mortar and pestle. She paused, hearing my sound. "Luna," she acknowledged my presence with a warm smile. I sat down next to her, "Can I see him?" She shook her head, "It would be best if no one meets him until he wakes up. I don't want the influence of dark magic on anyone else." I let out a breath, "When will he wake up?"

He heard some rustling ahead by the rose plantation so he approached. He sighed he relief when he saw Sebastian sitting on a bench by the rose flowers. "Here you are." Sebastian didn't raise his head to him. Zeke joined him on the bench. Non of them said anything for the first two minutes until Zeke broke the awkward silence.

As I put one of my feet inside of the warm and welcoming water filled with the petals of the beloved and most beautiful rose. I sometimes wonder why it has so much love being given to it. It is so imperfect, yet that is its perfection just like all of us--We are perfect and one because of the imperfections of us. I also wonder why a rose just steals my heart every time I look at it--it's just so magnificent. Is it because of the color that it possesses or because of the way it possesses the frail heart of mine? So melted in my thoughts that I was, I didn't realize that I had to get out of the bath to get ready.

The hall was silent, except for Roses’ soft whimpers. Nightbane’s gaze never left me. His wolf—weak, dyin, still managed to claw through his eyes, burning red like a wound that refused to heal. “Fel,” he breathed. Just one word, but it shattered the walls I’d built. I staggered to my feet, clutching Roses. “What are you doing here?” My voice was raw, breaking. I handed Roses to my mother and clutched my chest, “You’re not supposed to—”

"I was never in love with you, Charles. Not in the past, not now, not ever. There was only ever debt between us." Heather did not care about Charles's reaction to this. She just wanted to get it over with so that she could go back down to the art exhibition. Charles tried to stop her, but Zachary stood his ground, blocking him. All he could do was watch as Heather disappeared through the door. Despite the disruption, the art exhibition ran on without a hitch. In celebration, Zachary and Luna made a reservation at one of Heather's favorite restaurants. However, before the food was served, the waiter brought over a bouquet of red roses.

"We found Ms. Smith's clothes and phone in the soil beneath the black roses… along with a human skeleton!" The entire room was suddenly deathly silent, until John sprang to his feet in shock, "What?!"

"Like she's plotting to kill us right here already. Yeah, I noticed." Rose approached us then, her green dress swishing softly against the marble floor. The worry in her eyes made my wolf want to howl. "Can we leave soon?" she asked quietly, sliding under my arm. "This whole thing feels suffocating. Like we're all just waiting for something terrible to happen." She admitted. "Of course, love." I wrapped an arm around her waist, drawing her close, breathing in her familiar scent. "We need rest before tomorrow anyway. We'll return Melissa to the dungeon once the wedding is over."

"Rose, you look good in that dress. My brother is going to fall head over heels in love with you" Livi complemented Rose. The sun has gone down, setting the surroundings with dim light. As Livi's wedding was the next morning, everyone decided to retire for the day early, so that the bride could get enough sleep. But Livi was feeling too nervous for her big day. So she couldn't fall asleep. She decides to sneak into Alesso's room but notices that Rose is awake and Alesso is forced to share a room with Kairo because of something that Russel said. So she decided to pester Rose instead. As Rose is one of her bridesmaids, she is trying her dress upon Livi's insistence.
