The moon stands high in the sky above the crowd exhausted by waiting when something starts changing on the stage. A good half an hour has passed since the warm up band has left, and their instruments have been replaced by new ones, including an impressive drums set with ‘Fake Drug’ printed on every surface. The air is filled with muffled music coming from the dynamics and the noise of thousands of people talking and shifting, stretching their tired muscles.

I shake my head at her, amused, though a small part of me wonders how much of what she’s saying could turn out to be true. “Nothing’s going to change about me,” I say confidently, though the words feel a bit empty as they leave my mouth. I’m not even sure I believe them.

There was no way he hadn't detected her sisters in the room, and maybe he was listening outside for their voices now. But after counting to ten and nothing happened, she knew she had to be fast in getting out of there, else her sisters might just spend the night here. She scrambled to her wardrobe and swung the doors open. Becca and Melissa stared at Christina with wide eyes. They had heard every word of the conversation she had with Arden, and they didn't know what to make of it. "I guess you are becoming Luna officially," Becca whispered. "I don't want to," Christina replied in a voice so broken that Becca wished she could undo what was about to be done.
