My Ruthless General

My Ruthless General

I am always interested in butterflies. These beautiful species were considered to be the reincarnation of the soul. In some belief butterflies is a personification of a person's soul; whether they are living, dying, or already dead. One superstition says that if a butterfly enters your guest room and perches behind the bamboo screen, the person whom you most love is coming to see you. Another superstition is that butterflies represent the soul, in some beliefs, it symbolizes rebirth. In our culture, a lingering black butterfly or moth in the house is taken to mean a death in the family. (Wikipedia)

Quest In A Soul Land

Quest In A Soul Land

Cold sweat emerged from their backs, including Zhao. Surrounding this outer pond was a great horde of spirit beasts. Too, great. Five-spotted Antelopes lied down and slept silently while the calves of their young ones played with the cubs of their most hated species— Violent Jawed Wolves. The wolf cubs were small and furry with innocent gazes as they would run along with the lithe calves of the Antelopes that had yet to grow their horns. Flying mid-air was a flock of giant beetles that were collectively surrounded by a beautiful bluish aura. Their glowing blue wings indicated that these were actually one of the most poisonous species of the forest— Mesmerizing Beetles! The strangest thing wa

Bad Romance

Bad Romance

If you take a glance at the piece of artwork hanging in front of me now, you might be thinking that it was just another piece of a plain and dull butterfly by the look of it but if you look closely- it was crafted very beautifully. The butterfly symbols of life, endurance, change, and hope. In many cultures, people associate butterflies with souls- how beautiful. The man beside me lifted his eyebrows as he sees my reaction and I shyly look at him back and forth and a slight smirk appeared on his lips. "I know you will love it," he said, now hands folded as he stood silently observing the piece with me and I grin at the remark. My eyes catch the name written below the butterfly wings in a sig

Where Do We Belong?

Where Do We Belong?

Dylan asked. As Melissa looked and studied her books Dylan seemed human but as his sleeves were lifted, his skin was covered in spots. Melissa had a thought and checked Dylan’s back before consulting her books. He was a spotted tortoiseshell beetle. “I’ve seen a few like you. A regular beetle would hide inside its translucent shell when enemies approach but insect humans like you would just summon the shell when needed.” Melissa explained.

The Billionaire's Dirty Secrets

The Billionaire's Dirty Secrets

It was pale yellow, with embroidered bees on the sleeves. "I picked this one," she said. "Because bees are important. They make the flowers grow." Something in my chest cracked. Just a little. I looked at this child—this solemn, serious child who had lost her mother, been rejected by her stepfather, uprooted from everything she knew—and I saw her holding up a onesie for a baby that wasn't her mother's. A baby that represented everything she might fear: replacement, displacement, being forgotten. And she had picked bees. Because they make flowers grow.

MYSTIC HOLLOW (Homicide)

MYSTIC HOLLOW (Homicide)

Bonnie asked Sarah in Latin as she showed her a drawing she drew Bonnie took the drawing and stared at it as The Freaks squatted beside her. "What did she say?' Elena asked Bonnie. "It's this drawing" she said looking at the drawing of a crescent with two butterflies around it. (Written by Naomi Innocent) "That's a cresecent and two butterflies, well how are we supposed to know what that means?" Alex asked. "Well it only means one thing, there would be a killing sooner or later but the killer hasn't decide who to kill. That's just a symbol of.. " "I saw this symbol today at the mall when I went to get Bonnie the chocolate candies she asked me to get " Peter said interrupting Elena from compl

The Forgotten God

The Forgotten God

"You ought to know for you feast upon the dead. You should be able to find their scent even beneath the earth." He plucked a roaming scarab from the earth, holding in his clasped hands gently but firmly. When the crow spotted a more suitable place for mindless servants the beetle would be sent. It was the symbol of rebirth, emitting its power as it burrowed into the earth, radiating to the dead and summoning the soul back to the body. The crow worked fast, driven by the blood that stirred in its veins, feeling the might of a God who they had silently thought of but never served.

One Night With My Alpha Professor

One Night With My Alpha Professor

As I sat down across from him, I could feel his eyes boring holes into my head. “Leo,” I breathed, my voice trembling, “I can explain—” “Do you understand the significance of what you’ve done?” he interrupted. My eyes widened. “I-I didn’t do anything, Leo,” I insisted. “I swear. I came back from lunch and found it like this.” But Leo simply sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose. “Audrey… Luna moths are a symbol of peace and prosperity to werewolves. Destroying one, particularly its wings... it’s essentially wishing harm upon all werewolves and the Moon Goddess herself.”

Zarah and The Seven Apocalyptic Princes

Zarah and The Seven Apocalyptic Princes

“That’s exactly it. I worry about us; that’s why I want Beel to get inside so I can save him from Asmodeus’s influence.” “Influence?” “Shit. What’s that!?” I didn’t hear the rest of what Leviathan wanted to say because I turned my attention back to Beel and Asmodeus after hearing Belphegor’s remark. Something massive is crawling over Beel’s head. It looks like a massive centipede that wraps itself around his neck. If there’s one thing that I learned from my previous life, it’s that scorpions and centipedes aren’t a good sign.

The Heiress' Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call

The Heiress' Return: Six Brothers at Her Beck and Call

It might seem like an ordinary tattoo to the untrained eye, but it was, in truth, a soul-binding sigil. Beside it was a mark in the shape of a belladonna flower. The flower, positioned just below his neck, had remained hidden by Landon's preference for high-collared shirts. Now, drawn by curiosity, Aria tugged him closer and pulled his collar down. The belladonna flower, known for its poisonous nature, symbolized danger and death. Yet, in certain myths, it also guided lost souls toward peace, embodying the paradoxical gentleness of a demon. It was not a symbol an ordinary person would choose to bear, as it was often seen as a harbinger of misfortune.

I wouldn’t bother reading. The author has dragged this out and made the storyline almost unrecognizable from what it was portrayed. Instead of focusing on the lost child and the reunion with the family they have introduced stupid plots to drag the story on- and on- and on- and on!
