Julia I stand back and watch Riley and Nina put the final touches on the Christmas tree, and then he pulls out a Christmas angel to sit on the top. "Would you like to put this on the top of the tree, Princess?" Nina is still bouncing on her toes. I swear the girl hasn’t stopped since she found out that we had the tree.

The once haunted house now seemed to emit a sense of comfort and joy, as if a beacon of light had chased away the lingering shadows. In the main lounge, James couldn't hide his wonder as he exclaimed, "Wow! You haven't decorated the place for Christmas in ages." The room was vast, dominated by an enormous Christmas tree. The tree was adorned with exquisite glass baubles, glimmering in the soft light. At its pinnacle, a beautiful porcelain angel stood proudly. Placing our wrapped gifts under the tree, I noticed a fleeting moment of sadness cross James' face as he gently touched one of the tree's branches, his gaze fixed upon the angel.

I said. "Merry Christmas honey. How was your night?"dad said. "It was fine thanks". "I see you're excited about today" mum said, giving me a big smile. "So excited" I grinned. "Well, you know you won't be leaving without an escort" dad said. "I know dad" I said, feeling slightly annoyed. "And there is going to be added security so you'll feel safe" mum added. "More like caged" I muttered. "What did you say?" Dad asked.

However, I must admit this one display caught my eye for a very different reason. I take in the white-lighted reindeer dangling from a lighted tree containing what is left of Santa’s sleigh. A trail of red lights falls from the reindeer’s head and pools in freshly fallen snow. I have never seen a Christmas massacre and I doubt I ever will again. It is marvelous. I laugh because I honestly can't help myself. For once, humanity surprised me. I say out loud, “God, I'd love to meet the person behind this.” A lady wearing a dark woolen cloak with flaming red hair asked, “What would you say to the creator?”

The snow keeps falling, heavy and suffocating. When I finally gather enough courage to walk home, my nerves are shredded. My thoughts got tangled. They don't have christmas lights or any sign of spirit of christmas here except for that christmas tree which seems so rich style. I wonder what those are containing.

He let out a mischievous laugh and started tickling me even though I asked him to stop, he said it’s the least I could do to make him feel better after our fight. But then he kept on tickling me and I kept asking him to stop but still he continued until finally he got tired of it and stopped tickling me. Tyler said, "We haven't bought a tree for Christmas yet. Shall we get one?" When I didn't give him a reply, he put his hands around my shoulders saying, "Don't get mad again babe. It's Christmas. The season to be happy and cheerful. When the tree finally arrived, we decorated it with ornaments, tinsel, and lights. Mr Alarcon brought Brian to the store after his school. When Mr Alarcon tried to leave, Morgan and Teresa made him stay. Brain said, “Elise, the tree looks beautiful with all those lights.” And turned to Mr Alarcon and said, “Dad, shall we have a Christmas tree at our home?” I gestured Mr Alarcon to say yes and when he did, Brian ran to him and gave him a hug. I asked Mr Alarcon, “How does the store look?”
