I pouted cutely. Smirking, he drove off. Kevin Taylor works for the police as a detective in the suburbs of Indiana. He moved in with me after losing his house. The rent there was too high. Since moving in, he constantly flirted with me. But he was too nervous to ask me out. He left a note on my bed talking about his feelings. Swooned by his affection, I gave him a chance, and now we are a thing. But this thing we have is a secret. Nobody knows. When driving up to the apartment building, the car suddenly got quiet. "You okay to walk in by yourself?" Kevin asked worryingly.

In fact, he just wanted to make fun of it, not really thinking that Kate would say what he wanted to hear. Kate pursed her lips and whispered, "Remember." "…..What do you say? "Kevin, I'm going over to my friend Faye's place tonight. I won't come back until tomorrow." Kevin immediately got up and said, "I'll drive you there." Karen shook her head. "It's alright. Don't bother." Kevin stared at her. "It's too late. I'm worried about you going out alone." His tone was tough and direct, making it hard for Karen to refuse. Kevin's car was a Land Rover. For people like him, it was not expensive, and it was spacious and comfortable. Kevin's driving was very steady, just like his personality.

Today, Kevin was dressed in a royal blue leather jacket over a white V-neck T-shirt, exuding a rebellious, carefree charm. Marcia blinked at his outfit in surprise and blurted, "Are you headed to Demon?" Kevin stood up and did a slow spin in front of her. "What do you think? Am I dashing or what?" "Sissy." Her single word crushed Kevin's attempts at showing off.

Kevin responded only for Tyler to scoff raucously. “I've already told you. I will be fine even without studying! You're aware how incredibly brilliant” I am, his voice was laced with confidence as he spoke. Yet, Kevin didn't buy it, instead took him home. “Say Kevin!” I called him back as he walked out. He halted and I ran towards him. “Is something the matter?”

The tension broke when Kevin suddenly appeared beside Tessa, a broad smile on his face as he looked at her parents. Gendry and Alex finally released their handshake, and Gendry stepped back, returning to his previous spot. After a few seconds, Kevin glanced at Tessa and arched a brow, silently prompting her for a formal introduction. Tessa cleared her throat. "Uh, Mum, Dad, this is Kevin Balthazar. Kevin is..." She trailed off, and Gendry unknowingly held his breath, waiting for what she was going to say.

I reluctantly turn around and see Kevin, looking short of breath. “Betsy, here’s your water!” He grins as he is trying to push a glass of water on me. I have gone immobile for a second looking at him. He looks so thirsty for my attention like I am his only oasis. He glances at the man standing in front of me and does a double take. His face eventually changes probably realizing who it is. “Hi, sir! I’m Kevin Totte from chat support,” he says as he puts his hand on the air for a handshake.

Alsie POV- “We can talk about it later, Benji. Let’s finish the business at hand.” I put my hand on Benji’s chest and moved him slightly. I wanted to get a good look at the guy behind him. Kevin. Kevin stood about 6’2” tall, he had long blonde hair that was shaved on the sides around the ears, and the rest was pulled up into a man bun on top of his head. Kevin had big, round, grey colored eyes, long dark brown eye lashes, full lips, and eyebrows that looked like they had been recently waxed. Kevin was clean-shaven and smelled of fresh cut grass.
