Inside was more grand, of course it would be, it is straight out of a drawing. The castle was two, the floating castle which could be seen from outside and the land castle. They were huge, but the floating castle just extruded elegance.

It looked exactly like a modern day house with living rooms, bedrooms, kitchen, study, library, music room, attic, basement…

And then, it comes into view. A fortress of a castle, dark and looming, emerges from the night, its towering walls standing firm against time itself. My mouth falls open in awe, my breath hitching as I take in the raw, breathtaking power of the structure before me. Built of stones in varying sizes and shapes, each piece unique, the fortress appears black from a distance. But as we move closer, the subtle interplay of colours—a mosaic of darkened greys and humble browns—reveals itself amid the sea of deep green that surrounds it.

The castle was even bigger than I thought, there were several buildings all made from atone, and torches on every corner to light the way to the main castle. As we walked by, I could occasionally see people walk pass us and sometimes they stared too long or looked away too fast. I instinctively shifted closer to Beros. He was the only familiar thing I had now. As we walked closer to the castle doors, I also noticed people watching from their windows too, but I couldn't see their faces, I could only see the silhouette from the windows above.
