This story has a lot of heartbreak; from Jennifer getting betrayed by Terrance, Terrance getting tortured by Jennifer, Jennifer reliving the nightmares she experienced with her father, and a lot more. This story is also for Horror and Romance fans. I wanted to blend the two genres together to create a modern day tragic love story. It looks like both the Horror and Romance fans are appreciating the story. People are loving the romance more than the horror, but the horror is getting some love as well.

“The novel’s title is Shocking Shocked, and it tells the story of a guy who was electrocuted after disclosing shocking news?” I bit the bottom of my lip. “Well... It’s one of my favorite novels.” She slapped herself across the forehead. “Dainty! We should not read novels like these. I assumed you were interested in romantic novels, so I let you read books, and then I’ll know that you’re reading about terror and murder novels?!” My mouth was closed. What can I do if I’m not a fan of romance novels? Horror, mystery, and psychological stories are my favorite, and not romance. When I read a romantic novel, my whole body convulses. They simply do not appeal to me.

Before me were rows and columns of carefully arranged books, most of the covers bearing sweaty, half-naked men and women in different stages of copulation, and the ones that didn’t had dark covers with obscure details that were covert yet somehow let you know exactly what the book was about.

The couple were struck speechless, their minds racing with a thousand thoughts. Liam had always known that his family had a dark history, but he never imagined that it would be something as horrific as this. He felt like his entire world had been turned upside down. The elderly Lycan, sensing their shock, placed a reassuring hand on his shoulder. Her touch was gentle, but it felt like it was burning a hole through his skin. He could feel the weight of her words sinking in, and he struggled to process the enormity of what she had just revealed.

I couldn’t see anyone. “A bad dream,” I said as a sob erupted from my lips. I couldn’t hear it, nor the words. But I felt them. In the marrow of my bones, right along with a fear that whispered of nightmares. I licked my lips and tasted blood. Eyes without any light in them stared at me. My husband’s eyes. He’s gone, the nightmare whispered. It sent a soul-shattering ache through every inch of me. I couldn’t handle it. I needed more numbness.
