Bible Verse Reader Novels & Stories

What's this? "I have another one. I want you to have it. Whenever you feel confused, just read it." She opens where her bookmarker is placed and says, "Read that." For a moment, I watch her before I read it and then say, "Okay?" "No! Read it out loud so I can hear it, too." "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I will fear no evil, for you are with me." Still glaring through her, she smiles, saying, "That's Psalm 23, verse four. I know it by heart."

Andrea suggests as she places her Bible on the stands and begins to read. "The Lord is my shepherd. I lack nothing, He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside still waters, He refreshes my soul, He guides me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake." Julia shares and begins to read it with Andrea, Robert, and Alexa.

Mr Jayson said and left the place. Aiden turned to look at the bed which looked very comfy, with a blanket. Aside from his phone that was taken away from him, he kept every other thing that was his. He saw a white book with the Holy Bible boldly written on it. He walked towards the bed and picked it up. He had never used a bible before and didn't know where to find Romans. He checked the first page and found the index. He used that to find the scripture and he read it. 'For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us'

She opened her eyes and the contractile aperture in the chocolate brown coloured iris of large doleful eyes caught the letters, Luke 11:45 "For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known" Sre knew that verse. He'd whispered those same words as he'd run his hard calloused palm down her naked body. Sreya could remember it all. Clearly. Too clearly. She could remember how he'd touch her. Gently drag his hand down her skin in a lover's caress. She could remember the appreciation in his eyes and the tears in hers. She could remember the bible verses he muttered each time he was around her. Each time he was erect. She remembered the way he'd burn his fles

I smiled faintly, not even denying it. Then I went straight to our room, closed the door quietly—and locked it. The silence hit like a wave. No laughter. No footsteps. No one asking me what rhymes with ‘grace’ or whether ‘hallelujah’ was too cliché. Just me, a notebook, and a head that wouldn’t stop spinning. I sat on the bed and read the verse we’d drawn earlier. Isaiah 40:31. ‘But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles…’

Not the gentle, contemplative kind but the kind where spirit and soul wrestle beneath the weight of divine interruption. “God, what is this?” he cried. “Why me? Why now?” No voice answered audibly this time. But a scripture formed clearly in his mind: “Then the Lord put forth His hand, and touched my mouth. And the Lord said unto me, ‘Behold, I have put my words in your mouth.’” Jeremiah 1:9 James opened his grandmother’s Bible again. That verse was already underlined not by him. His phone buzzed. A message from an unknown number.

I asked. "It is in the book of James, chapter one, verse five and it says, 'if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.' I have so many questions daily, that is where personal revelation is so key! I have been able to find so many answers to spiritual things in just a few weeks that I have been working here. I promise as you take time to read the scriptures, ponder them, and pray about them, you will start to find some answers! I know it is hard to use your time to read a long book that is old and completely out of style but the further you go into the word of God, the further you will be able to find answers

"I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me" "Wonderful, a round of applause, please" "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away, behold all things have become new...where is that in the Bible?" "John 7:38" "No, that one is 'He that believes in me as the scripture had said: out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water'...you get?" "Oh, my bad. Misplaced it. Thanks a lot" "You are welcome"

Then she raised her head, and he heard the faint words “, the lord is my shepherd, he maketh me to lie down in green pastures, he leadeth me beside the still waters.“ Not noticing his presence, she moved from the man she had been bent over to another, her Bible opened and her lips moving. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. He heard her say to that next man, her voice sure and firm.“ The sound of her voice did something to him that he did not expect. The panic in him dissolved, and he felt peace and calm come over him. Walking towards a chair, he sat down and watched her move around, reading the scriptures to the men sleeping and awake. Her eyes were filled with tea

And it must be true, because, after all these years, she kept it. Hugging it closer to my chest, I went back into the kitchen, sat down pouring myself another glass whiskey, ready to read the Lord's teaching. “If dad can do it, so can I...” I murmured. I opened the book, and it's randomly displaying Roman 16:20, “The God of peace will soon crush Lucifer under your feet,” I read aloud, “The grace of our Lord Jesus be with—” Knock knock My reading was interrupted by someone banging on the door, Who could it be, it's late,
