"OMG! Then the people that died in the war, they didn't die for the country, they died for one strange man? Ok this shit is getting complicated." Mercury said, removing her glasses. "There is something we absolutely are so blind to see yet. Mercury I am getting the Bible, let's know what the verse in Hebrews has to tell us." I went in and covered the bible with a blanket as I made out with it. I took it at the back of our camp where Mercury sat waiting for me. Yuvonne was not in the room when I entered. She was desperate for help, and she silently prayed for a miracle. She felt weak. She went to the pews and sat a few rows from the front. As she did, she looked up and noticed an open Bible. It was a thick book, and the header read: The New Testament, The Book of Luke. She scanned the pages, looking for a sign, wondering if her prayer had been answered. She read: “I grant you power and authority over every demon, power and authority over every disease.” Her heart raced. Was it a message?

The one who created the whole universe, the giver of life I thank you, and I worship you kings of King Remember, you're my only hope, and my god and I have forever vowed not to take all praises and all the glory alone. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

How could she have the guts to eat when Gideon was not eating? She gritted her teeth and put the food package on the container, putting it on the dashboard. Gideon saw what she did and his brow raised, "You are not eating anymore?" Jewel shook her head. "I'll eat later." Sighing, she looked around the dashboard. "Did you bring a Bible? I want to read." Gideon glanced at her for a moment. "In the glove compartment," he said and looked at the road ahead again. She opened the small hinged door on the dashboard and she saw a pocketbook size New Testament. Jewel looked at her husband for a moment before taking the small book and opening it up, reading from the book of Matthew.

he asked in a low voice. Only then did Kimberly realize she was holding a Latin version of the Bible. He had already taken the thick book from her without waiting for her to respond. He put the bothersome book aside. His cool voice became more profound, "In the Old Testament of the Bible, there is a poem that doesn't carry any religious colors. It's devoid of God or deities, speaking only of the girl he loves." "Do you want to hear it?" "Mhm." Kimberly felt his wandering hand; her cheeks flushed red, and she casually replied.

He mentioned last night that he wanted to read it. Behind the sound of delicate pages being rolled between my fingers, I hear the loud trickling of water. His eyes are set on me and he makes himself comfortable, a smile spilling on his lips which I catch from the corner of my eye. “Isaiah, chapter 54, verse ten I wanna speak about...” “Yeah, sure.” “So it says, “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken, nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord who has compassion on you.”
