I combed my hair smoothly. My hair was stiff, and even if I tied it up in a high ponytail, there would be no trace left, naturally falling on my shoulders. Bryce couldn't help but take another look. Compared to wavy curls, he still preferred long straight black hair.

My hand flew to my mouth in surprise. “Ahh, I know. I'm amazing.” He stood, nodding with pride. I couldn't help but laugh. “Okay, we've got blonde, auburn, redhead, silver, black, green, dreadlocks—you name it!” “Got a beard too?” I asked, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

“You have to dress nice.” He sweeps his hair off his forehead and I sigh for the millionth time at that move. Hayden never grows out his hair but he came home sporting bangs he keeps fighting with every few minutes. Maybe it’s his strategy to win girls because it gives him a chance to show off his toned biceps when he raises his hand.

“THIS IS JUST like when we were teenagers.” I grin up at Bryce, who scowls because I moved. She has a pair of scissors in one hand and a lock of my hair in the other, and she’s thinning the edges like a professional hairstylist. I groaned as I woke up from my alarm groggily, and pushed my hair back with one hand. My long wavy silver hair was now chopped off till my shoulders. Not that I looked bad, though. It had been a week now with my new wolf cut hair that my mom did for me. And it turned out, I was actually born for this haircut. The best part is I don't even need to style it with blow dryer and curlers like others as strangely my hair stays in like that even when I wake up.
