His gaze shifted past me, his wolf glinting in his eyes. “A bear,” he murmured, pointing toward the trees, “with cub,” he gestured to the marks on the ground. The moment I focused, I sensed it too. The heavy musk, the restless shuffle of something massive nearby. “Then we shouldn’t disturb them. Let’s take another path,” I whispered.

I stand next to him to see we’re on a cliff. “It’s beautiful” I whisper in awe looking at the beautiful scenery in front of me. There’s a stream down below and more forestry. Birds soar in the sky and when I close my eyes I can practically hear the stream. Opening my eyes I look back down and I notice something moving towards the stream. Squinting my eyes I step closer to the ledge and Shadow grabs my waist. A brown mother bear with its little cub looks like they're at the stream to hunt for fish “Aww that’s so cute” I softly squeal slapping Shadow on his arm. We stare silently watching the bears jump and splash around the water

**DELANEY** The thuds are getting louder like they are overhead of me. I step back into the cave as quietly as I can. I am praying silently in my head that this bear will just turn around and get his midnight snack somewhere else. The thuds are just overhead of me. I can hear the creature sniffing the air and I keep praying that being in the woods for a week won't become a disadvantage at this point.
