His face was deathly pale beneath its perpetual five o'clock shadow. Dark circles ringed his bloodshot eyes, and he seemed unsteady on his feet. As our eyes met, he rolled back in his head. His body went limp and began to crumple forward.

"Oh? My reputation precedes me?" Hearing him confirm it, the leader’s expression shifted. Dexter was not a name to be taken lightly. Rumor had it he had once killed a mafia boss. His background was mysterious, and no one dared cross him. And now he was holding an iron rod... Barnes, now certain of Dexter’s identity, stepped forward with the bag of money. These dark energies converged in the air, carrying a powerful sense of resentment as if trying to swallow Alex. However, Alex showed no signs of abnormality. He calmly said, "Dexter, I can feel the emotions in your heart. I understand that your emotions must have consumed you over the years. But it's okay, I’m here now. As long as I'm here, I won't let you continue to fall into darkness." As time passed, the resentment within Dexter gradually dissipated. In the end, it turned into nothingness.
