I wasn’t even able to get a look at the goddamn thing but from pictures I’d seen, I knew that it was a mighty palace in black and white that was surrounded by crocodile-infested waters. The castle was overflowing with towers such that one more would make the main structure collapse but first-hand witnesses had said it was the most beautiful thing they’d ever seen… except for the dark aura it emitted, attracting some of the most unwanted creatures and spirits that usually inhabited around or sometimes in it. I could confirm the aura part because the castle just felt baleful.

she threw a warm smile over her shoulder, directed at Elliot. I moved back a little, walking slowly next to Elliot, “Is she talking about Chaos?” I whispered. “Mhmm,” he responded with a light nod. My mind was swirling with questions. How did she know with a single glance at Elliot? Xantha’s main castle was stunning. The exterior was a deep, almost black-blue stone with creeping vines covering a large portion of the walls. Crystal clear blue waters surround the base of the castle, flowing into nearby canals that traveled away from the castle. The guards posted on each side of the door bowed as we walked across the bridge before opening the large double doors.

I came here for a reason. The guards led me straight to the heart of the city, where Kendrick’s castle stood, a dark, foreboding structure made of black stone. It looked more like a fortress than a home, its towers reaching into the night sky like jagged claws. As I stepped inside, the air grew colder. The silence was unnerving. I was led into a grand yet eerily empty living room, where an enormous fireplace crackled weakly, casting long shadows on the walls. I sat on the plush leather chair, my fingers gripping the armrests as my mind raced.

The night was dark and quiet, like a thick, inky shadow. A woman dressed in black slipped silently through the shadows toward the castle ahead. The moonlight cast a faint glow on her slender figure, outlining her graceful shape even in the night. The castle was a classic piece of medieval European architecture, with tall, towering spires and thick stone walls that looked both grand and eerie. Alia smirked slightly, muttering to herself, “Doesn’t seem too hard. A place this big, and no guards in sight? This should be a piece of cake.”

The road was lined with torches burning with a sickly green flame, and the bone-chilling scream of a raven filled the air. Sheer fright swept through Vespa, and just thinking of that evil creature's hand on my daughter shattered me. The castle stood atop a hill, built of black stone and metal, with sharp angles and pointed spires. The witches were silent, and the only sound was Vespa's cries and my pleas. The gate opened, and out came the Prince of Darkness, standing over 8 feet tall. He was strikingly handsome, with jet-black hair and piercing amber eyes. He had a lazy smirk on his face.

They get on my damn nerves! We drive silently through the thick forest along a cobblestone road till we arrive at a massive shiny black castle! It's vast and around 7 stories tall. Dense green vines are growing up its sides. There are lots of strange plants growing out front. They move unnaturally like they're alive! I'm getting serious villain vibes from this place. We park in our assigned spot, #24. Someone is standing near it. When we get out, the guy asks Papi. "Can I carry your luggage?" "Sure." He gets our luggage and leads us inside. We greet the other guests who are entering the place, too. We get to our room, #24. And dayum, this room is magnificent!

While a rattlesnake couldn't truly harm me, it stung like a bitch. "There it is." River nodded ahead. There was a real fucking black ass castle from medieval times sitting in the middle of a rain forest. Black wrought iron gates surrounded it and ravens circled above. "Maybe it is haunted." I shuddered, looking at the creepy house that seemed to lean to one side. "Afraid of ghost too?" Drake bumped my shoulder and I growled at him. "You're the one afraid ghost." I mumbled, quickly taking it back when Drake turned on me.

Fantasy fodder for late-night scrolling. But the card felt real between her fingers. And the ache it sparked low in her belly was very real. She went. The address led her to an unmarked steel door in an alley downtown. A man in a tailored black suit checked her name against a tablet, eyes lingering appreciatively on the dress she’d chosen—deep crimson silk that clung to every curve, slit high enough to flash thigh with each step, neckline plunging just enough to make her feel dangerously exposed. He nodded once. The door opened.

lord Aizenberg stated, trying to remain a few inches behind their leader. The Black Knight just grumbled in annoyance from the comment making the marquis fall into silence. He then looked at the surroundings, thought the road towards the main castle was peaceful, the sounds of battle and pillaging could be heard all over. Hearing it somehow made him feel alive again; savoring the stench of blood, ash, and carcasses all around them. The only thing that left a bitter taste in his mouth was the main castle that stood proudly in front of him, as if taunting him with its three tall towers that remained unbroken and unbent, still glowing with its lustrous magical forcefield.

“Now it obeys.” Moon Goddess… The realization chilled me to the bone. If Jax and Lucen came here someday... these things would slow them down, hurt them or maybe even kill them. Fear coiled viciously inside my chest. Please let the twins stay safe, please. Almost an hour later, the forest finally began thinning and then I saw it... a castle stood atop a massive cliff overlooking the deadlands below. It was dark, ancient and monstrous, its black walls were wrapped in thick thorn-covered vines that crawled across the stone like living parasites. Towering spires pierced the sky while dim crimson lights flickered through narrow windows.
