Her mouth opened, revealing fangs that weren’t silver or white, but black, dripping something thick and steaming. The scent—acidic, burnt, and dead—curled around me.
The smell almost made me gag.
Liam shifted too, bones cracking, growls splitting through the air. His wolf was just as monstrous—massive, distorted, too dark to be natural.
