From The Ashes

From The Ashes

Hope The light is blinding to my sensitive eyes as we emerge from the depths of the cellar. we are hurried along a wide hallway leading to huge wooden double doors. The sound of men shouting as the prisioners huddle together booms in my ears. Blinking to adust to the change of light i look around taking in my surroundings. We are standing in what looks to be a large cathedral. Its beautiful marbel floors lined with gold and giant floor to celling pillars covered in intricate patterens and vines. Lanters line the walls iluminating the large room. Ive never seen anything so beautiful. A large fireplace cut out into the wall burns the chill of winter away. At the end of the room steps climb to

He Fed Me To Zombies Nineteen Times

He Fed Me To Zombies Nineteen Times

I tuned the dial, searching for any government or military frequency. Static. More static. Then— “This is the Colorado National Guard, 142nd Brigade. Identify yourself.” I almost cried with relief. “This is the Aspen Sanctuary. I’m Dr. Scarlett. We are under zombie attack and require immediate extraction.” A pause. “Please repeat your location.” “The Aspen ski resort, the converted sanctuary. Coordinates are—” “Hold on.” The voice turned cold. “You mean the location we've marked as a Red Zone?” “Red Zone? What does that mean?”

The freshly scent of bleach, though faint, is strong enough to churn my stomach. It's the kind of clean that tries too hard... the kind that hides blood. We pass closed doors, the thick and silent things that give nothing away. There are no sounds, no voices or idea of what lies behind them. My eyes flick up to the cameras. There are several nestled in every corner like watching insects in the ceiling. Cold, patient and unblinking.

The bathroom was cramped next to what looked like some kind of enforced holding cells and to top it all off: No AC! Already it was better than most dumps I’d been living at. Because seriously, have you heard the noise a broken AC makes? Let me tell you, it’s enough to make people consider murdering someone. Or suicide! Whichever gets you out of there the fastest… “What? You expected hell to be an amusement park, Ashton?” I smirked as I stood beside him and for now, just threw my bags on the ground. “My name is---” he grumbled but cut himself off mid-sentence and hopelessly shook his head. “You know what? Never mind.”

But the lemon smell is overpowered by the horrible scent permeating the room. “What’s that awful smell?” I say, waving my hand in front of my nose. “It sucks to have a sensitive wolf nose right about now,” Callan says. “This is bleach. It’s the only thing I could think of to get the bloodstains off the floor.” “Is Ethan okay?” I ask, sitting my backside on one of the chairs. “Other than a bad hangover, he’ll be fine by tomorrow.” Callan grabs a pink-stained towel and wipes the water and bleach from the floor.

It was destroyed beyond repair. Pulling Eros closer to her and placing his head on a set of books, she stood up to clean up the mess he made. Dozens of bottles are scattered on the floor and some of it was broken. Keisha started cleaning everything up. “Shit–” The stench of blood lingered inside her nose after accidentally cutting her palm.

I waited until the footsteps faded away and then climbed off the bed, there had to be something in this room that would get rid of this blue mark. I searched everywhere, I tried scrubbing it, I chucked the bleach I found in the bathroom on it. Then I saw it his razor blade. Breaking the end off so I could just get to the blade, I sat on the side with my back to the large mirror. If I had to cut some of my flesh off, then I would, it wouldn’t be the first time I had lost a bit of flesh.

I binged this story in a couple of days, still hooked! Yes there are some grammatical errors but the plot shines through.. still a few unanswered questions, hoping they’re addressed in the next chapters

The Alpha King's Spy Mate

The Alpha King's Spy Mate

Lena taunted. Ashley fumed " you all are both too blind to see our true color. I just hope it won't be too late when you finally find out " Lena rolled her eyes " your game won't work on me again. If you'll excuse me I have something to do inside " with that being said, Lena banged the door in her face. Ashley stared at the door with so much hatred " I hate them all" *** Bryan dropped her down on the couch. He let out a sign, then stretched his arms. It was a long walk from the packed clinic to this place.

I said smiling up at her gentleness that was followed by a caressing wind as if to wipe away my tears but my vision continued to blur and walking up to the edge of the cliff I looked down it and for the first time I didn’t feel fear even though I had been stand at such a spot and taking deep breath in I pulled open the stopper to the bottle and the smell of the liquid that as going to cremate me alive I felt a small squeaky cry escape me. “Its light Asa, everything is going to be alright soon,” I said feeling myself almost ready to throw up at the nesting smell that now permeated the freshness of the woods and overtook my senses. Really loved that. It's new to me, I am not a big fan of Werewolves tho. But enjoying it so far. I hope Crain will take Asa's revenge from Clay. That was so heart breaking when she misunderstood him. Well done!

The writing is very captivating. The characters are believable and I cared about them. I sincerely don't want asa to land with clay. She deserves better!! I would recommend this book to anyone who likes werewolf romance. It's so worth the read!

Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

"I won't be long." His G-Wagon roared to life, tires screeching as he sped straight toward Stevens Mansion. He thought Aspen and Gordon had gone too far, and since they wanted violence, he would give them violence. … Meanwhile, inside Stevens Mansion, Aspen sat in her room, sipping freshly brewed coffee. For the first time in ages, she actually felt relaxed. Ever since coming to Jayrodale, she had suffered one humiliating setback after another. "Mr. Woods already made his move on Moonlit Apothecary," she mused, taking another slow sip.

And secondly Fran and andrew hookup thing gives me a disgusting feeling of that love triangle i assume many people dont like it eithee as we are fond of couples but not a triangle i honestly dont like andrew sleeping with fran as it hard to imagine andrew with lauren or fran the idea digust me alot

Good introduction. It sounds as if Christina was forced to be cold & dump Andrew. Since after he left, we see that she was aware of her actions & didn’t simply, not care. The rest were quite the typical cliché in Chinese type of stories. I’ll be great if the 2 made amends, unlike the typical cliche
