The blood stain on it did not hide it's immaculate and beautiful nature. She puffed smoke in the air and took a sip of the liquor beside her, as she glared at the bleeding rose with sad and anguish filled eyes, it told a lot about her and her agony. She was as beautiful as the rose in front of her.

Filthy skin, clothes torn to shreds—they looked like strays that'd been dragged off the street. Peggy spotted me first. She lunged at the bars like a rabid dog. If she wasn't locked up, she probably would've gone for my throat. I smiled. "How does it feel? Regret anything yet?" She shot daggers at me. "Why's your life so perfect, Cecilia? You ditched Steven and bagged Xander Zane?" "Because I never betrayed anyone," I said. "But don't get it twisted. I'm not here to forgive. You killed my baby. You're gonna pay."

Every word hit like a punch to the gut. She shook with rage, hands clamped tight around my throat. Her bloodshot eyes screamed murder. I gasped, air slipping away fast. Right as everything started to blur, Mike kicked her off. "Stupid bitch! You trying to ruin everything? If she dies, how the hell are we supposed to get money from the Felton family?" Cecilia hit the floor hard, shrieking like a maniac. Mike didn't even look at her. Just turned to me. "Chill. You're safe—for now. At least until Terrance Felton shows up with the cash. You two must be something. He's offering a whole billion for you. Not bad, huh?"

"Enough! Even now, you're still trying to bully him?" I shook uncontrollably, tears slamming onto the floor. "I didn't do it! I never did any of that! Ariel, he's the one who did all of it!" She slapped me hard across the face. "You still won't admit it? Caleb, I never realized you could be so utterly shameless!" She turned and shouted to the guards, "Take him to our hospital and lock him in the decontamination room! Sanitize him thoroughly! God knows what kind of disgusting diseases he's carrying!"

I was out and moving toward the entrance before the engine had even stopped. My hand rested on the hilt of my crescent-shaped hellblade. It was the smaller one, light and perfect for close quarters. The moment I stepped into the shadows of the first crypt, the air changed. It was thick with the reek of moisture, ancient dust, and something much worse. Decay and Sulfur. “Moisture and mold,” I whispered, clicking on my flashlight. “And black magic,” Aziz added, his voice serious now. I could feel his invisible presence shivering. “Lift a paw to your nose, Manolya. It reeks of demon filth.”

When he got to where I was, he held out the tool for me to see clearly "Please." I continued struggling against the bindings desperately. When he reached out to grab my arm, I suddenly froze, closing my eyes and turning my face away. "You Thompsons have heartlessly killed so many of our kind. You killed even those who never killed a human for centuries. You've tortured us and hunted us like Prey." Venom dripped from his voice. The darkness in his eyes intensified as he trailed the knife over my skin teasingly. I couldn't stop trembling in utter terror.

With much difficulty, I fluttered my eyes open to find myself lying on a hospital bed and hundreds of needles attached to the back of my palm. I wanted to lament over the fact that I am still alive. I wanted to die and when my eyes were closed I thought that I am in hell and someone is giving me the punishment for my wrong deeds that's why I am feeling so much pain. How can I forget that I am actually living in hell? I moved my hand up but it falls down as it lifted an inch from the bed. I don't have enough energy to move on my own. I closed my eyes and huffed in irritation.

Even the older woman was gone. I was standing in a white room. There were no walls, no ceiling. Just an endless floor of white paper. Standing ten feet away was the real, human Bryan. He was tied to a chair with gold wires. His mouth was covered with black tape. And standing behind him, holding a long, sharp needle to his throat, was the young boy with the pen. The boy wasn't crying anymore. He was smiling. "Welcome to Chapter 92, Hazel," the boy said. "This is the part where you have to choose which Bryan dies so the other one can live. But watch out."

Callahan eyes widened in surprise as he watched the blade sink deeper into his chest and the blood that spilled out of him and I let out a slow smile of victory, my heart blackened by rage. "I told you to go to hell, didn't I? Maybe this will take you there faster." I whispered before gathering all of my strength and squeezing it deeper. "Go. To. Hell." Once he staggered backwards, I released my grip and sprinted out of the chambers, adrenaline pumping through my veins.
