Kate smiled and said, "Because you turn ten years old tonight, it'll be your first shift and the falls are safer to be rather than the hollow." "Does it hurt?" Oli asked and Kate sighed, "Unfortunately yes, but you'll adjust." "I don't like the falls they're too loud. They drown out everything." Oli said and Kate gave a slight smile, "We'll be behind the falls where it won't be as loud hopefully." she said and the two made their way to the falls. . . .

My soul was trembling in fear. The heartbeat kept on growing, fading. Over time the sound was increasing. A dusty window from where a gust of wind came caught my attention as I moved my head following it. Just at that moment, the flashlight fell on my eyes, and I glanced back at the entrance with a minimal gaze. I noticed a shadow standing in front of me, wearing a long white blanket and holding a lantern in one hand. "ARHHHHHH!" I screamed, rivalled by the blast of thunder and rain.

Anyone who was skilled in Ghastly Thirteen Needles would have capitalized on it already. This technique was a money-maker. “I said that I was familiar with it, but I never said I could execute it.” Kaze listed a bunch of terms callously. “Hollow Lock, Hollow Manor, Hollow Keep, Hollow Passage, Hollow Echo, Hollow Assembly, Hollow Cush, Hollow Core, Hollow Heart, Hollow Gait, Hollow Missive, Hollow Refuge, Hollow Vault, and Hollow Shadow.”

“Something moved underneath.” Kael’s eyes narrowed. “It’s reacting to us.” Lyra felt it too. The Hollow wasn’t waiting anymore. It was listening. Then The crack below them expanded. Not breaking. Opening. Like a door. A deep violet glow spilled upward, washing their faces in cold light. Lyra stepped closer. Kael caught her wrist. “Wait.” She didn’t pull away. But she didn’t step back either. “I think it’s open,” she said quietly. Mira frowned. “Or it wants us to think that.”

Her second heartbeat thudded, eager. Thump. Maeven’s voice cut low and sharp. “Sable,” she warned. Sable clenched her jaw. “I’m here,” she whispered. Rowan drew the bone blade across Caelan’s inner wrist, not deep enough to cripple, deep enough to claim. Blood welled bright against pale skin. The chamber inhaled. And in that breath, the tunnels changed. Sable felt it like a vibration in her teeth. The Hollow markings on the walls—those old carved lines—glowed faintly, not with rune-fire, but with something like acknowledgement.

It said this. Six feet. The Hollow opened its mouth. No sound came out. But something did. A pressure wave of cold air that hit my face and moved through me like a hand reaching into my chest and closing around something. Not physical. Deeper than physical. It was reaching for the mark. For what was inside the mark. I felt it touching the edges of the seal and Lyra's response was immediate and absolute. The knife ignited.

" Malakai smirked when he thought of the answer. "We're ghosts baby." Malakai responded and Eden wanted to laugh, but she was so confused at the same time. "Huh? The fuck do you mean?" Eden said and looked up to see a mischievous glint in her boyfriend's eyes. "I have someone, a hacker, his name is Rhys. He'd remove everyone's DNA, their information and everything there is about them off the systems of the world. When you joined the agency, he did the same. In short, we don't exist little one." Malakai said and Eden's eyes widened. She never knew the extent to which Malakai could go.

“But they were never meant to contain it.” Kye reached for me as we passed the threshold. “Stay close.” The Hollows were as I remembered—wet air, shadows that moved too slow, trees that leaned just a little too far inward. It was a place the world tried to forget. It remembered us. Every footstep echoed like memory dragging itself behind us. Mira drew her blade. “Don’t speak unless you have to. It feeds on sound.” Finnick tapped his temple. “And thoughts.” Kye muttered, “Perfect.”

At the altar sat a sealed obsidian vessel, faintly glowing red—the Blood of the Ashen Saint. As Bain and Seraphina approached, the ground trembled. With a sudden crack, humanoid figures burst from beneath the floorboards. Twisted, eyeless, and stitched together from fragments of failed Hollow experiments — failed children, abandoned vessels. “They’re Hollow Shells!” Elias shouted. Sokolov drew his twin blades while Vulture blasted one straight through the chest, sending it skidding across the stone. “They’re trying to stall us!” Seraphina cried. “They know we’re close!”
