What Is A Hollow In Bleach Novels & Stories

The chat screen that had once been so cold on her side—now the roles were reversed. Looking at the baby's breath she'd left behind, my forehead wrinkled in a frown.

It barely cut through the thick air, but it was enough to reveal symbols—etched into every surface, moving like snakes beneath glass. Damien wiped the blood from his temple and looked around. “Where the hell are we?” “I think…” I swallowed. “We’re inside the Hollow.” Theo turned sharply. “Impossible. The Hollow is metaphysical. It’s not a place you fall into—” “Tell that to my ribs,” Damien grunted. “No,” I interrupted. “It’s not just a place. It’s a living thing. And Mira’s been feeding it.” That silenced them. I took a shaky step forward, drawn by the faint thrum in the sword. It pulsed in my hand like a heartbeat, syncing with the glow beneath our feet.

And as I fall, tail limp, blood spiraling upward in threads that will be gone before anyone at the surface can notice them, every bright hue in my scales beginning, very slowly, to drain, the Hollow begins to drink me. The pink goes first. And then, somewhere very far below me in the black, something much ol der than pink begins, patiently, to wait.

The air was damp, moss brushing the stones like velvet. My routine was always the same. Haul water from the well until blisters bubbled across my palm. Scrub dried blood from the holy altar until the sting of it pressed into my knees. Wash linens for the warriors until the sting of vinegar felt like a second skin. The Hollow was built upon ritual and sacrifice, upon old gods and older promises, and it was the servants’ lot to witness and forget. To bear witness and bear silence.

Jade The Hollow was not a place. It was the negative space between realities, the echo of every story left unfinished, every promise whispered and almost broken. It breathed in the dark and shimmered at the edge of memory, waiting for someone brave—or desperate—enough to cross its threshold. It was a feeling—weightless, endless, memory-drenched and constantly shifting. Sometimes it felt like falling through water and sometimes like standing in sunlight that never quite warmed the skin. Time here was elastic, stretched thin over the bones of longing.

By noon, the news spreads through Silverpine like wildfire: the south is breaking, and we are all the refuge left. Elowen’s voice is soft at first, but it fills the hall. The witches from the south speak not only in words but in tremors that seem to pass through every floorboard, every wary heart listening. She describes the Hollowing—a devourer, ancient and without true name or shape. It is not a demon and not a spirit, but something that eats the world’s heart quietly, leaving nothing behind. No bodies, no bones. Only the hush of something erased, the faint, acrid scent of a scorch mark in the grass, or, in the coldest dawns, a rim of white frost swirling in unnatural spirals around the ru

I looked at her quickly. “What is it trying to do?” Her expression turned grim. “The Hollows feed on opened spirit gates.” Cold dread spread through me instantly. “And what exactly is a spirit gate?” Lyra didn’t answer immediately. Which was never a good sign. Finally she whispered: “You.” Nope. Absolutely not. I was getting extremely tired of being magical problems. The Hollow suddenly exploded from the ocean again. Its giant body slammed onto the side of the ship while red eyes locked directly onto mine. Everyone screamed.

Just hollow shapes. ⸻ Rowan’s eyes flashed. “What are those?” Maeve backed toward Bramble. “I’ve never seen them.” Anwen had. Mason could tell. “Anwen.” She swallowed. “Echoes.” ⸻ “Meaning?” “Things the Hollow has taken.” ⸻ One of the shapes tilted its head. Then… spoke. ⸻ “Mason.” His own voice. ⸻ Mason went still. Rowan looked at him.

CHAPTER SIXTY NINE ALPHA AIDEN'S POV : "That's a good start, so how do we get them out and kill the Hollow?" I asked her. "There's only one way to defeat the Hollow, is to get the blood of a powerful descendant, if we could get it, I know a spell that I'll add it too that will kill the Hollow forever" she explained. "But how do we get it now?" I questioned. We have a start and we had no start at all, so complicated.

By midday, I reached the bridge or what was left of it, half of it had collapsed into the river, leaving twisted metal and floating cars and the water was black, sluggish, and wrong looking like oil and every ripple shimmered red. The other half of the bridge looked stable enough if I moved fast. I started across, keeping low, eyes scanning the shadows, the wind here carried a new sound soft moaning, like voices caught in fog. Halfway across, I saw movement below something crawling through the shallows. Dozens of them, the Hollowed, their skin sloughed off in the water, revealing bones that faintly glowed unnaturally from within. One of them looked up, it's jaw hung crooked, eyes clouded whi
