"Come here. Now." Kaelen appeared in the doorway within seconds, his obsidian eyes scanning the room. He crossed to her side, his hand resting on his blade. "What is it? What's wrong?" Elena pointed toward the shadow. "There. In the corner. Do you see it?" Kaelen followed her gaze, his jaw tightening. His hand moved to his weapon. "It's a Hollow One. A fragment of one. A survivor of the ritual." Elena's blood ran cold. "I thought we contained them. I thought the crystal—"

She did not understand why the Chief had said that. A pair of red eyes looked down at her shorter frame. "You will be a part of the Private Bleach case. I assume you have heard of Bleach." Her throat became drier and itchier than it already was. B-Bleach? The Legendary Greatest Swordsman? The Mysterious Werewolf Butcher? Amongst Commonerfolks, Bleach was some kind of twisted hero, a Vigilante that would rid the world of the diseases that were Werewolves.

The way her mother had decided things. Not asked. Not negotiated. *Decided.* Kairen recognized it. She saw him recognize it. Saw the expression move across his face— Grief and love and something that was almost a smile. Almost. "She sounds like you," he said quietly. "Yes," Luna said. "Tell me about the Hollow One." " Malakai smirked when he thought of the answer. "We're ghosts baby." Malakai responded and Eden wanted to laugh, but she was so confused at the same time. "Huh? The fuck do you mean?" Eden said and looked up to see a mischievous glint in her boyfriend's eyes. "I have someone, a hacker, his name is Rhys. He'd remove everyone's DNA, their information and everything there is about them off the systems of the world. When you joined the agency, he did the same. In short, we don't exist little one." Malakai said and Eden's eyes widened. She never knew the extent to which Malakai could go.

Amanda started shaking in fear, her eyes turned glossy as she pleaded him with her eyes. "You want to help me with my stress... Amanda?..." He said Maniacally lightly pressing the knife against her smooth skin making her tilt her head. "Let's release the stress then... Let me carve your skin with my knife, I want to admire it when blood will run down on your arms when I cut deep on it. Red suits your skin. I want to watch your soul leaving your body when you have no blood to lose Anymore..." He whispered darkly. Amanda started shaking and crying looking at his psycho behavior.

“She tried to use it.” Theo straightened slowly beside the table. “Use it for what?” “To win a war.” Dominic’s jaw tightened slightly. “And let me guess, she lost control.” Marek nodded once. “The Hollow gives power freely at first. Strength. Influence. Long life. The ability to bind souls.” His expression darkened. “But eventually it starts taking things back.” Jax stared at him. “That still doesn’t explain what the hell you are.” For the first time since this conversation started, something cold flashed across Marek’s face.

Then entered them both. Aria collapsed to her knees, her body trembling. Kaelion rushed to her side, his mark blazing. “It’s starting,” he said. Aria nodded, her voice thin. “The child is coming.” Luna knelt beside her. “We’ll protect you.” Aria gripped her hand. “Protect them.” The Hollowed arrived at dawn. Cloaked in ash, crowned in silence. Their marks were inverted, their eyes hollow. They didn’t speak. They simply moved. And the Grove responded.

Fangs gleamed, and eyes were burning red. Kael’s sword flashed, severing its head in one brutal strike. Another came, and I ripped it apart with claws I didn’t fully remember extending. Blood sprayed, hot and coppery. We fought back-to-back, bond blazing, every move in sync. His wolf and mine moved as one. But then my vision blurred. The Hollow surged, my eyes burning white, my claws lengthening into something too sharp and too dark. I tore through a vampire with unnatural force, its body crumpling at my feet. The Hollow laughed through me, delighted in blood.
