He remembered her words and without any thought, he darted out of the roots of the tree. Alex watched in calm as Weaver opened his mouth to speak but was interrupted when the motion of a red blur shot out from underneath the slightly uprooted roots of a tree. Weaver was about to give chase but was stopped by Alex, who gently bit down on his tail. "Do not give chase." Alex said firmly and Weaver pulled his ears to his head but nodded while looking into the direction the red blur had run in.

I waited until the footsteps faded away and then climbed off the bed, there had to be something in this room that would get rid of this blue mark. I searched everywhere, I tried scrubbing it, I chucked the bleach I found in the bathroom on it. Then I saw it his razor blade. Breaking the end off so I could just get to the blade, I sat on the side with my back to the large mirror. If I had to cut some of my flesh off, then I would, it wouldn’t be the first time I had lost a bit of flesh.

“So, it’s started, huh.” Tried as he might to just lie around there and let deaths unfold, the ground was rather shaking so hard he’s being nauseated. Sighing, he shuffled on his feet and made his way outside, and what a sight was to behold. A stupendous burst of light took his eyes by surprise. It took him a lot of blinking to be used to the blinding rays and, there, right on the spot where Blame’s operation had taken place, aglow such a giant mushroom-shaped cloud of yellow-white smoke, the upper column of it forming such malice of a face that made his heart drum.

Omar held on to Mariam's hand as he broke the dreadful news of her father's assassination to her, he watched her eyes dilate and her lips part ever so slightly, her eyes searched his for confirmation or for lies, shifting her focus from one eye ball to the other then she looked away from his eyes and to his chest then down the cloth he had on, her eyes taking in the red blood stain on his cloth and widening in horror and realization.

With my trembling hands, I grabbed the handle of the door, and it had just opened when Bell's scream froze us. I furrowed my eyebrows and turned back only to see her pale face with widened eyes. She covered her mouth with her hands and panicked. We followed her gaze and stared at the sink. The sight I saw sent chills down my spine. Blood was flowing instead of water from the tap, which had blown us all away. I choked in the air as she showed us the blood across her lips. "I told you, Bell. But still, you didn't listen to me."

I say as I punch the wall in frustration. I have to think of something. “Bleach.” I say to myself with a smile. I could use bleach since I don’t have the drug I wanted to use. Injecting someone with it or drinking it could lead to death. This is the only choice I have. I exit the room and I look around for a maintenance closet, somewhere where things like bleach are kept. I walk down the stairs and I can hear Robert’s footsteps as he continues his search. The silence in the house is deafening. Everybody has gone, even the rest of the guards.

It’s thick, metallic and then I remember where we are. It clings to the air like a suffocating fog, sinking into my nostrils and coating the back of my throat. I gag on it as bile rises into the back of my mouth. Then I smell bleach mixed in. The tang burns my nose, and for a split second, I can’t tell if the sting in my eyes is from the fumes or the growing panic in my chest. We slept in this. I cleaned the floor last night, scrubbed this spot until my hands were raw, but now the mix of blood and bleach is even worse. It’s foul and chemical, like something rotting beneath sterile lies.

Calla Blake stared at the spreading puddle of ruined chemicals, his face twisted with horror. For several seconds, he stood frozen, watching months of research dissolve into toxic steam. Then he smiled. The expression sent ice through my veins. This wasn't the desperate panic I expected from someone who'd just lost everything. This was the look of a man who still had cards to play. Blake reached behind him and pulled out two vials from a hidden compartment. One glowed with the same blue-green light as the destroyed compounds. The other was filled with dark red liquid that I recognized with growing dread.

A cloud of fumes filled her lungs, choking her. She used the sleeve of her blouse as a mask, attempting to filtrate the air. Her eyes burned as she looked over the room. There was an open container of bleach laying on its side, now clearly emptied. The contents had been launched sporadically in every direction. Some of her clothes were speckled with orange and yellow spots where the liquid had bled into the fabric, and in other areas, she could still see where pools had formed on the carpet underneath the clothes from where the chemical had been poured directly onto them. They were all discolored and ruined. Jade backed out of the room and closed the door, gasping for a breath of air.

Leroy was wearing earlier. I showed my fist to him. "I'll make your nose bleed. Do you want that?" But the fool just laughed. "I'm leaving." Trev and I looked at the door when we heard Mr. Leroy. "O-okay, sir. Keep safe!" I yelled and Trev gave me a questioning look. "Stop whatever you are thinking about me and maybe I'll just make you drink what I'm holding," I said while gesturing to the bleach I was holding. /W.W/
