Chris started excitedly but paused midway as though he said something he wasn't supposed to say. "What is it?" Zephyr asked with a frown as he sensed Chris's hesitance. "Well, there is a way to make the scars fade" Chris paused again and Zephyr gave him the look that urged him to continue. "You can use your blood" He completed his words and bit his lips nervously while waiting for Zephyr's reaction.

SEVEN The slippery liquid burned my lips as soon as it made contact. It was as if I had lit a match and brought it to my lips. Quickly, I moved the bottle away and wiped my lips with the back of my hand. My tongue accidentally brushed my lips. The bleach tasted awful. I retched and spat on the floor. The awful taste lingered on the tip of my tongue, but I had another problem. There was a burning sensation in my eyes. Tears swiftly flooded into them, causing my vision to be blurry. I pinched my hospital gown and then wiped my eyes with it.

Skyler didn't expect that what he had struggled with for so long, was not actually that difficult when he started doing it. In the bathroom Lillah stared at her clothes, rumpled on the floor. Pour bleach on them if you're so worried, Neeri piped up, helpful but unsympathetic to Lillah’s clean-up efforts. After coating the discarded garments with copious bleach rather than picking them up and having to take another shower because of the scent transfer, Lillah set about grabbing a brush to sweep up the trail of rubble she’d left through her quarters. Weaver was about to give chase but was stopped by Alex, who gently bit down on his tail. "Do not give chase." Alex said firmly and Weaver pulled his ears to his head but nodded while looking into the direction the red blur had run in.

“So, it’s started, huh.” Tried as he might to just lie around there and let deaths unfold, the ground was rather shaking so hard he’s being nauseated. Sighing, he shuffled on his feet and made his way outside, and what a sight was to behold. A stupendous burst of light took his eyes by surprise. It took him a lot of blinking to be used to the blinding rays and, there, right on the spot where Blame’s operation had taken place, aglow such a giant mushroom-shaped cloud of yellow-white smoke, the upper column of it forming such malice of a face that made his heart drum.

With my trembling hands, I grabbed the handle of the door, and it had just opened when Bell's scream froze us. I furrowed my eyebrows and turned back only to see her pale face with widened eyes. I ignored the pains between my legs and proceeded to the bathroom. I shut the door behind me to avoid him walking on me. He might have his way with me here in the bathroom again. I was not ready for that. I might pass out. I grabbed the second toothbrush and made use of it. Turning on the shower, I stood underneath and washed myself. I took a soft sponge and did the necessary scrubbing. I washed myself and stared at my swollen eyes in the mirror. I washed my hair and after a few minutes, I was done.

It’s thick, metallic and then I remember where we are. It clings to the air like a suffocating fog, sinking into my nostrils and coating the back of my throat. I gag on it as bile rises into the back of my mouth. Then I smell bleach mixed in. The tang burns my nose, and for a split second, I can’t tell if the sting in my eyes is from the fumes or the growing panic in my chest. We slept in this. I cleaned the floor last night, scrubbed this spot until my hands were raw, but now the mix of blood and bleach is even worse. It’s foul and chemical, like something rotting beneath sterile lies.
