Blessings In A Backpack Novels & Stories

In the distance my eyes spot Jaxson’s backpack lying on the ground, and I had to wonder if there was anything packed in it that I could use to defend myself. Slowly and carefully, I begin to step backwards away from the two wolves making my way towards the backpack, as the two wolves snarled at each other, like they were sizing each other up. Finally, I reached the backpack, lowering myself to the ground to unzip it. Reaching inside it, I pulled out a couple of bottles of water, the candy bars that I had bought at the convenience store, a first aid kit, and lighter, nothing that would help me.

"Her little sister is dying." I try not to show shock at her boldfaced lie, and I duck my head in what I hope he interrupts as sorrow. "All right," he agrees. "But this makes us even." "That it does," she replies without hesitation. I don’t have time to ask what that was all about. Before I know it, she’s shoving a backpack into my hands. I peek inside and find food, cash, a sewing kit, a flashlight – things I might need on the road.

Done, I wear and lace up my boots tight, double-knotting them before grabbing a backpack from my suitcase. This time around, I'm going in prepared. This round is going to be harder, and the rules for this round support carrying enough supplies as much as you need. Downside: My opponents are equally going to be stashed too. After unzipping the backpack, I begin throwing in some handy things I'll need. Ropes. Water bottles. Energy bars. A small first aid kit. A flashlight. A mini flamethrower. A folding knife tucked into the side pocket where I can reach it quickly.

Settling down for a brief rest, she whispered to Skylar, “Skye, she is innocent too. We should save every soul we can.” Skylar understood Clara’s profound, inherent goodness. She simply nodded, offering no argument. Instead, she silently retrieved a bottle of water and a loaf of bread from the supposedly small backpack she carried, handing them to Clara. “Eat something first.” Clara was momentarily startled, staring at the supplies in her hands. She glanced back at the compact pack slung across Skylar’s shoulder. “I don’t mean to pry, Skye, but how is your bag constantly full? I swear you have everything we need in there.” It was true; her mysterious companion seemed to conjure clothes, food

"You packed four bags for a three day trip," Noah said, staring at the pile of luggage Camille was loading into the trunk. "Two are Yuna's." "I only have one," Yuna said. Camille pointed at a duffel bag and a backpack. "Both yours." "The backpack is just snacks." Noah looked at the backpack. It was enormous. "That is not a snack bag. That is a crisis bag." "Snacks are a crisis management tool," Yuna said, climbing into the passenger seat. "I read that somewhere."

But that was because of her backpack, laying in the middle of the clearing. With a cry Malcom ran over and checked it. Poppy had called this backpack her go bag, where she kept everything she needed to leave on a moment’s notice, a hold over from her foster care days when she only had a few minutes to pack before being shipped off to yet another home. Inside were her clothes, old, tattered, worn, but well cared for; some necessary toiletries like deodorant and a toothbrush; some money; and her passport. She had been leaving him.

It made her stomach turn with agitation. “Yes sir,” Gwen saluted him. The groups would be set to leave at any moment and so Gwen distracted herself with preparations. They would be taking the backpacks they the soldiers carried for long journeys. Since they were to keep themselves alive, the bags carried, first aid, food, water a couple of other essentials, and most important to Gwen ammunition. She wished she could also have explosives but they didn’t have.

This was all about living out a fantasy, and while some of the participants probably had quite violent fantasies to fulfill, it was reassuring to know the staff was available and watching everything to make sure they didn’t go too far. “Hannah’s currently handing around backpacks for you. You’ll find a few survival-type items inside, along with food and water. Use the contents however you wish, but don’t forget to strategize. You want to make the hunt last as long as possible, both for entertainment value and to diminish the time the hunters have if they claim you. Have fun and stay focused, ladies. Good luck.” The black-haired man took a step back, signaling the end of his speech, and joine

It's the only reason I can think of for fate screwing me over like this. "Here, take this" Nova lifts a backpack from the ground that I hadn't noticed. "What is that?" "Things you'll need. Weapons" he says that looking at Hector "You don't know what you'll encounter on the way so always be prepared. Two guns, one loaded with silver bullets. A knife, and some food you might need" "Frozen meat?" There's also sausages, ham and cheese.

It was a crazy day. "This is for you Beta(child)". Mom said, gifting a wristwatch and ring to him. "Since I know you already have everything planned. It's just some of our love and blessings for both of you." "Always remain happy and have a blissful life ahead" We felt blessed. "You both must have been very tired, take some rest. The room is ready to welcome you, Mom and Dad, thanks for bringing so much happiness to our life." He said lovingly, and I was shocked witnessing this emotional cute, Mr Khadoos.
