Even though his eyes were blank, I could feel his gaze piercing right through me. “He’s… looking at me?” I whispered. Dalila shook her head softly. “Impossible. He’s blind. But his divination is very accurate. They say he can see the souls of wolves.”

Miss Lan appeared in front of the demon and immediately slashed at him with her technique. "Damn it! Ghost Light!" The coach drifted to the right as it dodged yet another car; the driver corrected. “Yeah—right!” The demon’s mouth split wider, teeth stacked. “Small ones,” it said. “Tasty ones.” Scott readied himself for the fight that came; he held Demonslayer in his right hand, ready to ignite. “You’re not having the children!” He shouted.

Just like that damn beast did to me, I’ll both kill you afterward.” “HAH!” Layla gasped when she felt her innards coming out of her body. Her sight hadn’t adjusted in the dark yet and she could barely see anything which made her other senses work more efficiently. She closed her eyes to easily adapt to the situation. It was unusual but since she was blindfolded for so long, she could better operate when her sight was blocked. “Take this!”

I feel sluggish and sick, I’ve been given something to dull my senses, the silver and wolfsbane prevent my wolf and I from communicating. As my blurry vision clears, I start to hear humming, there’s a strange circle and sigils written into the ground. Then I scream, on pikes around me are the heads of my loved ones. Tears stream down my cheeks as I scream again. Then a man, one I recognize, steps into view. His orange eyes and auburn hair seem appropriately matched to the fires of the torches around us. At his side is a gorgeous woman. Her eyes are ice blue and her hair is long and silver. She isn’t a wolf, I don’t need my senses to know this. “Beta Sego, please… please help me…”

She followed closely behind him and the two disappeared into the forest. "Did you notice?" Weaver asked and Alex nodded. "Her brother is blind. That's probably why she thought it best to talk it out." Alex said and Weaver nodded. "Don't tell the others about the male being blind. It'll provoke some of the others to try and run him off." Alex said and Weaver nodded in understanding. "I'll take a group to start setting up markers upon our new territory." Wever said and Alex nodded wondering how someone who couldn't see had survived this long. He had help from his sister but he didn't seem to rely on her. . . .

Thick, dark blood oozes out and the demon brings his hand up to try and stop the bleeding. Binx shadows around the demon, knocking it to the ground. Lucas jumps on top and drives the dagger deep into its chest. The demon, still able to use its powers, telekinetically throws Lucas and pulls the dagger from its chest. He raises it up to bring it down on Binx.

“Come ou-“ before I could finish what was going to say his hands grip my hair and tilts my head so we’re face to face. Fuck. I reach my hands up as I simultaneously released a burst of power outwards. Demon powers are only at full strength in the underworld but up here it’s barely even a whisper. But the force that slammed into me and cancelled out my powers told me this Demon was on another level. He was one of the higher station hunters. “Now try not to struggle and let’s just go.” His voice was deep and low like if he was bored and I was an announce. I stay silent, shaking with rage.
