At least until the dwarves dug their tunnels and shafts trying to reach Zanestor's surface. Goblins were a rudimentary society. They were great hunters and their prey supplied them with everything they needed to survive. Meat for food, skins and furs for clothes, fat for lighting the darkness, bones for making tools ... And then came the dwarves. In their armours adorned with gold and precious stones, with their powerful machines and their dazzling lights, they were almost like gods. But the goblins knew nothing of gods, only of intruders trying to drive them out of their homes. The dwarves saw these scrawny haggard creatures as nothing more than wild beasts. Everything about that bus screamed 'money'. 'What a sumptuous bus this is. I wonder how its interior is?' He couldn't help but admire the fine grand bus which was colored in red. After all, this was his old habit. To appreciate the beauty no matter if it belonged to a person or even a thing. Suddenly, the glass of one of the windows of the other bus slid open, and someone emerged out of it. "Aye! Yooo!! If it isn't the poor and miserable Ghost Busters team!? Eh!?" A guy with black hair tied in a ponytail with a patchy beard came into everyone's view as they heard his mocking voice.

“However, they are having a problem now. There are not enough goblin shields for humans to use as plates. If you can give me some shields, I can return with some of the humans’ leftover food from their feast!” Remembering the smell of meat from earlier, the goblins drooled, and their stomachs rumbled as one. Zen knew he had the higher end of this negotiation and quickly quoted a ‘reasonable’ number. “How about fifteen shields? I think it should be enough while I sneak some food out of the party?”

They ate and kept eating until they were full. They laid on the floor and rested like they haven’t done in a long time. Then suddenly, the ground rumbled. They bolted outside not wanting the building to crash on their heads. A dozen goblins stood before them—giants in silver armor, easily three times their size. Their skin was like tarnished bronze, their eyes yellow with slit pupils. Their weapons were brutal: serrated axes, spiked clubs, twisted spears. The one in front bore tusks curved like sabers.

Another voice said, coming from the other end of the hall. "Two of them?" Gwen said, turning her head to look. Both figures stepped into the light, allowing the group to lay their eyes upon them and take in their appearance. Before them stood two large and muscular Hobgoblins, one with green skin and another with yellow, each wearing leather armour with swords strapped to their hips. "What in the hell are these things?" Owen said, never having seen a goblin like them. "These would be Hobgoblins..." Xolvion said. "Hobgoblins?" Gwen asked.

The people inside the carriage, along with the coachmen, shared a look with each other. “Young miss, did you not see that horned goblin?” The coachmen replied, also with a question. I glanced back at the goblin group. Now that I see it, I saw one of the goblins being bigger than the rest. Its colour is the same as the other goblins, but it has a pair of horns on its forehead. “That goblin is the goblin general, namely smarter than a normal goblin. Although we have some adventurers here, but we can’t win against that one.” The coachman added.

My senses all in alert, I activated my Evil eyes ready for that unknown creature… the groaning intensified, the creature approached revealing its appearance… Small in size, green skin, ugly face and pointy ears… it held a handmade spear with a pointy rock at the edge… the creature reeked of bad smell and was not alone… This creature that preys on women and raids human villages without leaving a soul behind, usually lives in small groups, but when they are under stronger beast guidance… they become a threat that must be subjugated… So it was them who preyed on women of the capitol… these heinous creatures called “Cave dwellers” or more commonly…Goblins! But more come…it is useless. Armond yells, “Useless servant.” He looks at his minions. “Your snack is served.” They descend on him like vultures. He smirks. “Now, chain her properly.” His minions chained me to the floor, where I could barely move. Armond stood in the center of the stage. He raised his arms. “The blood moon rises tonight, and with her blood we will reign supreme.” He lifts an ornate goblet. The hall erupts in cheers. My anger boils over.

Stalls lined the walls, selling everything from enchanted weapons to bottled emotions to something that looked disturbingly like human teeth. And everywhere, watching from the shadows, were the goblins. They weren't the cute, mischievous creatures of children's stories. These were beings that had evolved in darkness, with too-large eyes and too-sharp teeth and fingers that seemed to have one too many joints. They moved through the crowd with the confidence of predators in their own territory. "Sterling." Pale moonlight bled through the stained-glass windows, casting red and violet patterns across the cold stone floor. She pulled her cloak over her shoulders, the fabric whispering as it slid across her skin. She needed air. A hunt. Something to sink her teeth into—literally.
