The next morning, I woke early, wanting to get an early start on the sunlight serum with Amy, but I hadn’t even touched my feet to the floor when my stomach started doing flip flops again. I needed blood. I ran to the bathroom with my hand over my mouth and barely made it to the toilet, unloading the contents of my stomach as cold sweats erupted all over my body. Still on my knees, I rocked back onto my feet, when big hands caught my back. Spots appeared before my eyes, preventing me from seeing clearly. I got to my feet and walked over to the sink, turned the water on cold, then splashed my face and rinsed out my mouth.

V. “Argh.” I groaned, waking up with an excruciating pain inside my head. I tried moving my arms to brush my hair that was blocking my eyesight. “Aw. What was that?” I said as I began groping my head, finding where exactly the pain was coming from. After a millisecond, I felt a sticky, warm and moist substance coming out from my head. As I look onto my hand, my eyes widen in shock. “B-blood,” I said out of nowhere. It was the time that I realized where I was.

However, instead of feeling better, I feel much worse. When I look down, I see that I’ve throw up blood. Tainted blood. I go still for a second, for creeping up on me. What is this? I look towards where Kayla is waiting for me, her wolf puppy playing by her feet. My breathing is uneven and I force myself to stand up. I’ve never thrown up blood before, especially when it looks like this. Taking a deep breath, I rinse my mouth with some water before going back. However, with each step, I can feel my strength draining.

The only thing left was the dinner menu, but the vile taste lingering in my mouth made eating unthinkable. I excused myself and hurried to the bathroom. Once inside, I bent over the sink and desperately tried to force the blood back up, jamming my fingers into my throat. Nothing. All that came out was thick, bitter-tasting saliva, streaked faintly with red. My stomach twisted in frustration and disgust as I leaned against the sink, breathing heavily. As I rinsed my hands under the cold water, something in the mirror caught my eye, a shadow, a reflection that made my blood run cold.

The male lets out a low, rough groan as the sharp pain hits his mouth, and that little bite lights a scorching forest fire inside both of our spirits. The hot feel of his mouth against my teeth is so real that my mind doesn't even feel like it is sleeping. The second the morning sun hits my eyelids, I jump up and realize my body is completely alone on the furs. But a strange, stinging pain is throbbing right on the corner of my lip. I lift my fingers to touch my mouth, and my breath catches when my skin comes away wet. It is a tiny smear of fresh, red blood.
