I knew for sure that this day was my death, just had to wait for the painless wound. A man carrying a machete stared at me with a red eye then started slowly towards me , his machete dripped of blood, his hand tied with a scarf. Everything about him reflected “death”. I could not bear the thought of being hitched to death, it was surely not the painless death that I had prayed to come.

I said in relief as I took a sigh. "Damn that prayer!" He said. Suddenly, Damon Karsyn appeared right beside my bed. He is fully naked. His chartreuse green eyes were glowing. His teeth were about to broke as he gnashes on it hardly. "You'll rot in hell along with me," his hands then showed me a samurai. He waved it in the air before he stabbed me in the chest. "Uhmmp!" The room was filled with the thick scent of blood, as ten children lay motionlessly on the floor. Their blood oozed out from the cut on their necks; it created streams like rivers. Even the battle-hardened warrior couldn’t stomach this scene. This was too cruel. Sam was not unaffected either; his breath was labored as he tried to push down the bile that rose to his throat. This level of cruelty was hard to discern, even when he was the one who had done this.

Springing to my feet, pain tearing through every ounce of my flesh I listened again. "Dear Goddess, he's gonna kill him," someone cried. I waited until the last second before swooping my stick and throwing it forward with all the force I could muster from my broken body. It cracked against something hard. Samson grunted. A heavy thud echoed through the silent hall. I opened my eyes, forcing my vision into focus. Samson was on his knees, blood gushing from a large gash across the top of his skull, running down his face in a thick, scarlet torrent.

They charged from all directions, a chaotic tide of claws and fangs. We split into pairs, fighting back-to-back as our swords clashed against their relentless onslaught. Blood, dark and thick, flowed beneath us like a river. Every so often, one of them would land a hit near my stab wound, sending sharp waves of pain through my body and dulling my strength.

Village Head Samoa lifted up his great sword to block Red Rose’s blow, his pale eyes showing a glimpse of emotion as he was knocked back a few feet. Without making any obvious movements, he summoned the wind to break his retreat, causing a wind wall to appear behind him and gather him gently into its embrace.
