Darkness envelops me, but somehow I still see, even though my eyes are still shut. Or are they? That intense feeling bubbles in my chest again, but this time. It takes over. Pain shoots up my hands as I feel the skin of my fingers tearing apart as it elongates. It’s brutal, scary but there’s a power surge in me that numbs it all. And I strike. Someone shouts and jumps away. I don’t stop swinging my arms, they fly everywhere hitting whatever and whoever is in my line of vision. Everyone scampers, my hands unable to strike anything again.

It was over. I stood in the forest with the blood moon completing its arc overhead, and I looked at my hands. They were covered in blood. Some of it Sera’s. Some of it Lukas’s, dried brown in the creases of my palms from when I had pressed them against his neck in the clearing to the west. Some of it mine, from my leg and from places I had not yet had the strength to catalogue. My hands were a record of the entire night, written in the language the Voice had predicted for them months ago.

"Do you really believe in her nonsense?!" A cold voice whispered in my ear, "No, I don't. But you left red marks on Ava's hand, so that's your punishment." The loud noise crashed wave after wave. The butler roughly held my eyelids open, forcing me to face the bright light. Noah supported my collapsing body and saw the blood dripping from the corners of my eyes and ears. He pressed his lips tight. "Help Madam to bed." He gently massaged Ava's wrist, blowing on it softly.

Her brows pulled together and she stood from the bed to now walk towards it. Was he nearby? She thought as she moved closer to the door. She held the handle and noticed that it was broken. This made her pull her brows deeper and she slowly pulled the door before stepping out of the room. Immediately her eyes wandered outside, she saw Cassian stepping out of the other room, his eyes darker and somewhat frightening. She was too scared to ask him anything the moment his eyes fell on her, so she lowered her eyes. That was when she saw the blood on his hands and the scars that he had, as if he had gotten into a fight with someone next door.

“It’s just till you count to 200. You can open them back when you get there.” He raised his hands slowly, like he was lifting something heavy, until they reached his ears. “Nine. Ten. Eleven,” he counted on, and at last I permitted myself to look back. Sarah’s blood leaked from her nose and smeared her lips; saliva and gore mixed into a crimson froth that slipped from her mouth when she tried to breathe. Adam bent over her until the yellow of her dress disappeared under the violent bloom of red. Fabric lay torn beside her, but none of her white skin showed—only the relentless, obscene tide of blood.

She wiped it away and it felt thick and sticky against the back of her hand. Curious, Amber held her hands out in front of her and saw the blood. It was everywhere. She was covered in it. The light of the candle danced across it reflecting it around her mind. It shouldn’t feel real but it did. She frantically wiped her hands across the front of her shit in a desperate attempt to free herself of the horrible sensation.

The sounds of the forest always get me; I could listen for hours. I don’t know how much time passes, but I can feel myself drifting off. I start to give into the darkness when I feel a scratch on my neck, and Goliath yells simultaneously. That snaps me out of my relaxation, and I jump off the boulder. I look around the area, seeing nothing, before my eyes land on Adela. I place my hand on my neck, and it feels wet. Adela is looking at me innocently, fluttering her lashes. I pull my hand in front of my face and take steps away from Adela. My hand has blood on it…..I’m bleeding.

☉NAIDA Bloodied, warped green eyes. A dripping knife. Flashes and screams. Blood everywhere. All of the floor, pools of it, in my hands. Images and echoes of the mutilation drowned my senses. Most of that dark, sticky blood dripped down my hands. All over my hands. She put a knife to his heart! Execute her!

Only a speck of life was left in her body. She stared at herself in horror and in her eyes she could see her reflection. Her eyes were gray and her hair was brown. She was the Badblood girl. "H...help" she choked in pain. Tears fell down on her eyes. Rila just stared at herself in horror. She felt like her stomach was turned upside down. She looked in the distance and saw a tall man with unspeakable ugliness. His face was out of this world. He was holding an ax covered with thick crimson blood.
