I mumble, heading to my office. I sit down in my chair and put the book on the desk. I look closely at the cover and realize it isn't leather, but some soft dark skin, more on a fur than the normal boom cover. My guess would be some.random animal with fur but I think sime fur isn’t smooth as this. I turn to the first page and mutter a curse under my breath. I read the tiny scrawl with widening eyes.

Giving her aunt a nod as she walked past her. Layla could finally focus on what she came to the library for, although at the back of her mind she wished Nelle could stay longer. She sat down at one of the tables and scanned the books cover. It was covered in worn midnight-blue leather and had no title, though, it was covered in intricate golden designs that glimmered under the light. * buzz – buzz * “Just when I was about to start reading it, great.” Scoffed Layla as she grew weary.

I opened it and found myself entering a smaller version of the library downstairs. There was no swirling staircase going up, up, up, rather walls full of books, some of which were only accessible via the sliding ladder off to the side. With my stomach full and heart heavy, I waltzed over to one of the shelves and scanned them, intending to pick a book at random. One in particular drew my eye. The cover was made of dark leather, embossed with a swirling gold font that was a bit hard to read. Tendrils of flame, interwoven with threads of shadow, danced up the spine and around the back.

I scanned the shelves, my eyes tracing the titles and covers in search of the perfect book to momentarily distract me from the reality of my mother's illness. A vibrant book cover caught my attention, a beautiful couple locked in a passionate embrace against a backdrop of rolling hills and a setting sun. "Love's Everlasting Promise" was emblazoned across the top in elegant script. I knew, in that moment, that this was the book that would temporarily fill the void in my heart.

It took him an hour to figure out how it works hahaha. He soon turned the book over to check it's title. On the cover, among the pretty colorful gems and butterfly designs is a title of bold golden letters that brought a sudden shiver to his body. 🌹Ruby and Aurelius🌹

As he grabs the orange books, he feels the hard cover and runs his hand on the embossed title – The Darkest Minds. He notices a weird symbol on its cover, it doesn’t seem to be out of the ordinary. A book has got to have an interesting cover, hasn’t it? As he opens the cover to explore its pages, something falls out – it was a bookmark. He picks it up from the floor and he presses it at the very back of the book to lessen the chance of it falling again. He feels the pages and one can tell how expensive the printing must be on this book. It doesn’t feel like ordinary paper. It is definitely something a bookworm will appreciate for the rest of their life. It's to bad, he got his hands on the s

Darla will allow her younger brother to enjoy his time. Darla is now heading to the shelves of fiction books. The distinctive smell of a new book smelt. Many novels are written best sellers there. Darla's hand took one of the novels with a very beautiful cover. She saw the blurb at the back of the novel, then she was touched and there was a desire to read. Darla had to admit that her reading interest was not very high, but this novel made her curious. So Darla put the novel in her shopping bag with pleasure.

But what catches my eye is s a stack of books I’ve never seen before. They are in several different shades of blue, but all covered in the same material. It looks like a leather but more textured, maybe another animal hide? They have the most beautiful gold writing on them and I am just simply, drawn to them. I want to sit with them and hold them, I want to stroke the covers and open them but not just read them I want to devour the contents of these books. It’s a weird feeling. I feel as drawn to them as I do to Leo.
