Blurred Vision Upon Waking Up Novels & Stories

As soon as Kevin Kyle returned to the office, his secretary handed him some documents. Kevin Kyle picked up the documents and read them. As he was reading, the words on the document slowly became blurred and his head became heavier. Kevin Kyle quickly closed his eyes and took off his glasses, then he massaged his temples, hoping to ease the pain. However, two minutes later, this situation was not relieved, and it had gotten more serious. He opened his eyes, and his vision was still blurred. He always rested little throughout his life. No matter how tired he was, he hadn't experienced such a situation today. He didn't know what happened.

~CLAIRE~ A persistent beeping sound roused me awake. I slowly opened my eyes. Everything was blurry, a mix of colours. It took me a moment to realize I didn't have my glasses on. I tried to sit up, but my head ached terribly. I groaned, turning away from the harsh light shining through the window. Where was I? A door opened suddenly and I jerked upright. My head protested, aching badly. Someone stepped into the room and I squinted hard, trying to make out the blurry face.

My vision blurred. My eyes, I could barely keep them open anymore. It was as though they had a mind of their own, forcing their way shut. Seconds turned to minutes and I finally let go, drifting to sleep.

I was trying to remember how I got there. The memories came back in scattered pieces. I made myself a cup of tea. Put it next to my laptop. I was working, looking at the screen trying to finish what I was writing. Everything seemed normal. Then the words, on the screen started to get blurry. I thought my eyes were just tired so I blinked a times. But the letters just got harder to see they started to swim and I could barely read them. Then I suddenly sat up. My heart started beating really fast. The room was empty. No Soren. No maids.

I softly groaned as my head throbbed in pain. I opened my eyes slowly, and at first, I felt like everything was blurry. 'What happened? Did I lose my eyesight?' I started to feel panic while my heart beat fast. I was scared that I closed my eyes again. I slightly massage my eyes. Then, open it again. Finally, I could see a flash of light and the room where I was sleeping came to view. I could feel the rays of the sun hitting my eyes while the wind gently blew on my face. Then, I remembered what had happened.

The edges of my vision blurred, and dizziness swirled in my head like a storm. I closed my eyes, trying to steady myself, but it was too late. The world around me spun, the sounds of the room dimming into an incoherent blur. A strange pressure built behind my eyes, and suddenly—without warning—I was flooded with a vision. It wasn’t my own, and yet it felt as real as the ground beneath me.

Now that she woke up and realized that she was in a car, her head throbbed in pain, her vision was blurry and her mouth was dry. She blinked a few more times to get a clearer picture of her situation, and she began to remember the things that happened before she passed out.

Sofiya I woke up with a terrible headache and vision so blurry that I could only see a person standing over me. I closed my eyes to try to get some of the tension out of my head, but that made things worse. The figure started to talk, and then it crouched down and moved toward me.

“Some days it’s fine, but… it comes and goes. Like my eyes can’t decide what they want to do.” Dr. Patel tilted her head slightly. “Have you noticed if stress makes it worse? Or perhaps fatigue?” she asked. I thought back. Long nights of pretending to be fine, mornings where I plastered on a mask. “Maybe. It’s hard to tell. Everything feels… blurred when I’m tired. Not just my vision.” I told them. The words came out heavier than intended, and I instantly regretted them. Both doctors exchanged a quick look, the kind people think you don’t notice. But I did. I noticed everything.

Everything feels fuzzy and confusing, like I’m trying to remember a dream that keeps slipping away from me. I suddenly hear my door creak open, which makes me jolt my eyes open immediately. The sound cuts through the fog in my brain like a knife. I blink several times, trying to focus my vision and figure out what time it is. The light streaming through my window tells me it’s early in the morning, but I have no idea exactly how early.
