Balthazar let out a raspy laugh. “You can’t kill me, so go ahead and try. I’ll just come back looking for more blood.” Balthazar gave him a crazed look, hunger in his eyes. This excited him, and his blood lust was shining through. My stomach turned as I looked at the pure evil that emanated off of him. But I could also see how hungry Garren was for Balthazar's blood too, and it was something I didn’t want him to have stain his hands. Balthazar was here for me, and I wouldn’t let his destruction weigh on anyone else’s shoulders.

Ethan's grin turned almost feral and a glint appeared in those blue eyes as he took another step further. Ah crap!
