The Remorse Deep in the Bones

The Remorse Deep in the Bones

Ever since I was young, I knew that my parents' work was unique. My father was a detective who had solved many major cases, while my mother was a forensic artist who was capable of finding clues from the victim's bones. Together, they solved numerous cases. Their most famous one was the White Bone Case five years ago. It was a case about a criminal gang who abducted and killed homeless people before using their bones to smuggle drugs. Since these were real human bones, they could easily avoid being caught by claiming these bones as medical materials.

Linked by Blood and Bone

Linked by Blood and Bone

"Your bones are where they belong. Now stop thrashing like hooked fish." Zeyric slumped forward, resting his forehead against the cool wooden table as cold sweat dripped from his chin. "You said the bond is permanent. There has to be a way to dampen the trauma, or we won't last forty-eight hours against Malakor's enforcers."

Blood and Bones

Blood and Bones

Seraphina & Declan ✦ 18+ — explicit language, graphic violence, torture ✦ The basement smells like concrete and old water and the particular kind of fear that has been marinating for several hours. I know that smell. I've been in rooms like this before — not many, and not as the one asking questions, but enough to understand the architecture of them. The single hanging bulb. The drain in the floor that doesn't try to hide what it's for. The chair bolted to the concrete, which is a practical detail that tells you something about whoever built this room and how seriously they took their work. Declan built this room. Of course he did. The man in the chair is named Caruso. Nico Caruso, forty-thr

“We’re not safe here.” Jenna’s breath stilled. Because behind the stranger— Behind David Branson— The Bone King was rising. Silhouetted by lightning. Mask cracked. Eyes burning with murderous rage. Holding a new weapon. A spear tipped with human bone. And he hurled it— straight toward Jenna.

The Wolf’s Bride

The Wolf’s Bride

However, Andrius and Ophelia were willing to endure some injury if it meant killing one of the Dragon Kings first. The next second, an overwhelming aura erupted behind them with a boom. A chill ran down Andrius’ and Ophelia’s spines as they realized what had happened—the three Dragon Kings had finally used their trump card, the dragon bone! Sure enough, high above, the dragon bone suddenly expanded dramatically, growing to the size of a mountain suspended in mid-air. The immense pressure distorted even the space surrounding it. Bam! In a flash, the Dragon Bone hurtled toward them at incredible speed.

Claimed By My Ex Boyfriend's Dad

Claimed By My Ex Boyfriend's Dad

I freeze at the sound of Bones’ voice, and turning, I see him walking towards me. “Bones. Any problem?” “Bodgan and his search team want to see you.” He announces. My ears perk up. It has to be about Princess. Alert, I nod. “Let them in,” I instruct, and quickly, Bones passes the instruction through his intercom. The front door creaks open and bootsteps pound over the floor as Bodgan emerges with six of the clan men. His red hair shimmers under the sun rays coming in through the floor-length windows that span the whole parlor.

BroKen

BroKen

The boy had more money than Croesus, and he was sure not one of these snot-nosed kids around here could hold a candle to his boy. Kyle also had more moral fiber in his little finger than the rest of them. So if money was all they were interested in, then that was their loss. But it was a fact that not many people except for the ones in that particular circle liked them. In other words, it was a good old fashion showdown, and he aimed to win.

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

The Prince Who Was Raised in Hell

Caspian took a step forward and slashed at the General of Bones with his sword. At this instant, the heavens and the earth fell into silence. Bang! When the silence was over, there were countless roaring and surging! Roar! The General of Bones was injured, and many of his bones had been smashed by Caspian, but he didn't break into pieces because of it. All of this was because the tomb of bones that could be used as the foundation of the Divine Bone Dock naturally contained an extremely large amount of Immortal Energy. Even though many years had passed and many of them had been consumed, there were still quite a few of them.

What happened to the original writer of this book? The new writer is a far cry from the first one in terms of style, creativity, dialogue and story telling. He has turned a once very arresting story into a very boring one. It is sad.

Wings, Beasts and Claws

Wings, Beasts and Claws

They were also Raven Shifters, making them even more special in the Fafner Kingdom since 90% of our country's inhabitants hand four legs and no wings. I raised my hand and gathered a small amount of warmth around my palm and fingers, creating a thin glove of flames that I pressed against my brother. I splayed my fingers and wiggled them through his fur, adding a little pressure when I finally reached the roots and the heat of his skin. Staring at the dancing flames that harmlessly brushed by his dark brown pelt, I focused on my connection to my twin, envisioning a bridge in my mind that connected me to him.
