Book-a-holics Novels & Stories

What was supposed to be a joyful team building became an event of unhappiness and complaints. This no longer affected me, however. After getting back my identification documents, I moved to another hotel and had a good time enjoying the Huka islands. It was not until I returned home that I found out Monty had initiated a blanket boycott on me within the industry. No company dared to hire me because of pressure from Monty.

Hazel enjoys getting to know all of them, and she feels like she's making a difference in their lives, one book at a time. Hazel's favorite part of her job is hosting the weekly book club. It's a small group of about eight people, but they're passionate about reading and always have fascinating insights to share. One of the members, a woman named Margaret, is especially enthusiastic. She always brings snacks for the group and keeps everyone engaged in lively discussion. One day, Margaret comes in with a big smile on her face. "You'll never believe what happened!" she says. "I was at the grocery store, and I ran into a famous author!

Alizeh: "Are you mad? pick the phone damn it! And I am still the same, my eyes are not even opening but I am still talking to you!" Then she called me and we talked for about 5-7 minutes, and she asked me "What happened?" And I told her "I already wrote it on the text!" And she asked me "Why do you feel like that?" And I told her "I don't know but it feels that it is happening", and she assured me that she was still the same and it was not like what I was thinking, and I told her that we were going to HK(Highway King, a hotel near the hostel) as the gang needed to drink. So after the call, our texts continued-

"We'll see." It took her a minute to remember what it was they were talking about and when she did she ducked her head and went back to eating. The look he gave her left no mistake as to his meaning but she'd been down that slippery slope once already and had no intention on going for another ride. Especially not with someone that looked like him; he was the poster boy for Player's R'Us. No way no how! Besides, they'd only just met a few hours ago. The man was crazy.

Extradimensional space, I thought. While we were there, I tried to book hotel rooms for us with my phone over the internet. However, as the briefing for the mission had told us, none of the businesses in Dust Bowl were associated with corporate franchises, they were all mom-and-pop local operations. Thus, online services such as Expedia, Kayak, Priceline, or Hotels.com were useless. No hotels in Dust Bowl even showed up on those websites. We’d have to actually check in at the desk in person the old-school way, which was fine, but it was one more reminder that Dust Bowl had things going on under its superficial presentation as a desert tourist town. We expected that as Memorial Day weekend go

"Really? I thought so too when I watched me this morning. The book must be working." "What book?" Bar asked Horr. "A book I bought. it was titled: 'How To Become A Great Host!'. Written by Joe Tiger." Horr explained but Wilson and Bar had no idea who the writer was. "Joe Tiger?" Bar asked. "Yes! Joe Tiger!" Horr repeated, looking at Bar as if expecting him to know this Joe. Bar shook his head. "Still doesn't ring a bell?" Horr pressed on. "No!" Bar shook his head. "You... how could you forget just like that?" Horr looked hurt and pouted. It looked kind of funny; a fearful looking giant giving such a face.

Gah, she hoped so. “I don’t want to take up too much of your time. I’m sure you’re busy.” “No, that’s fine,” Mia replied, her stomach sinking. Maybe this woman was simply calling to try and sell Mia something or to do one of those phone survey things. “How can I help you?” “Have you heard of ‘Little Black Book?’” Harley asked. “The new women’s magazine?” Mia asked, her heart jumping into her throat. “That’s the one,” Harley replied and it sounded like she had a smile on her face.

I closed the file and opened the site of the spa, setting up an appointment for the next day. Booking request. Private session. Full discretion. Client name: Kristofer Hayes. Requested staff: Jalen Brooks. I hit confirm.

"The invoice machine is broken. We only have receipts. Take it or leave it!" I picked up the handwritten receipt and glanced at it. My expression instantly turned cold. The receipt didn't have our hotel's official financial stamp at all. Instead, it bore the seal of a company called "Grand Feast Catering Outsourcing Services Co., Ltd". As the CEO, everything finally clicked. This hotel had a huge flow of customers. By forcing guests to pay 1,500 dollars through this kind of scheme, then routing the money through this outsourcing company, they could move a considerable amount of funds every year.
