He flipped open the book she had just read, which was no longer a boring and tasteless medical book, but a comic book written by Jimmy. Blake was naturally not interested in these childish things, but he continued to flip through them one by one, rubbing his fingers on the pages as if Avery's body temperature and smell were still there. When the book reached the last page, the title page was filled with a short poem: "We watch fish love birds, cats love mice, dinosaurs and frogs, princesses, and princesses, we see meteors fly past, we watch trees bloom, and I cannot wait for you to fall in love with my miracle!"

The first time Bia opened the book she did not know what treasure means so she did not got from the first page before letting the book aside and going back to play. The second time she opened the book, it was just because she was very bored. But as she already knew what a treasure was, it had become the most interesting book she ever read. The first page contained a list of rules Bia already knew even before she could read. This book had been enchanted. “This is from your father’s library. It contains the tale of the child born of the Bitten and the Born.”

Jace clenched his jaw . " Will you clarify my fucking question first ? " " I promise you , it's not a mark . It's a normal bite . " He runs his hand through his messy hair and starts pacing around next to the foot of the bed , frowning with every wince I make . " Normal ? There's nothing normal about this Jace . You literally bit me for no reason " I hiss at him . " I didn't mean to . At least now you have my scent on you . " He mumbled the last part slowly . I was so shocked , I didn't even know what to say . I just gape at him , wondering if I heard him right .

Stopping in front of me, he glanced at my empty hands, disappointment slipping into his tone. “Zoe, did you forget what day it is?” “No,” I replied, my eyes flicking briefly toward Sydney, who was half-hidden behind him. “I just thought you had plenty of people celebrating with you.” Sydney’s eyes instantly reddened. She twisted the hem of her dress nervously. “Zoe, you’ve misunderstood,” she said softly. “I’m just Greg’s–” “Just what?” I cut her off. “You’re just an assistant? Do assistants usually share food that they’ve bitten into with their boss?”

Kennedy POV. The weather was bad, but I needed to get that new book, it's Robert birthday gift, who'd knew a grown up man would kill for the newest werewolf love book. I got into my car, drove carefully toward the local book store, they had the new book reserved for me. It was supposed to one quick drive, until I walked into the library. A girl was sitting on a bean bag, her blond hair was covering her eyes with overgrown bangs, she tried to huff them away from her face but to no use. She looked young, maybe she's just here with her parents, looking down at the book she had in her hands it was a kids story. Does she read for the local kids? Or is it just for her?
