I took a step out of my doorway to look down the hallway and my foot collided with something hard that was on the floor. "Oww Oww Oww," I yelped in pain. My poor baby toe I want to howl but I know better so I bite down on my lip as I let out a soft cry and begin to hop on one foot. I look down to see what assaulted my toe and to my surprise, it's a huge book. The book has a black leather cover and on the center of the cover, there is a glass bulging bubble that's filled with some kind of red liquid.

The last time I was hot headed, I ended up being chocked and I wouldn't want a replay, now would I? He opens the book like he knows whatever is written in it until he stops at a certain page. There is a black and white picture of a moon and a woman holding something in her hand like a precious stone with a blinding shining light. "The blood moon stone," he points at the shining stone. I heard it in the meeting and now he is telling me about it. "From our ancestors till now, the stone is kept hidden from people." Gabriel muttered. "Then how are we going to find it if it's hidden?" I ask raising a brow at him.

⸻ Almost deliberately. ⸻ Then a single object emerged. ⸻ Not a weapon. ⸻ Not a creature. ⸻ Not a god. ⸻ A book. 📖 ⸻ A simple book. ⸻ Floating in the air. ⸻ Burned. ⸻ Damaged. ⸻ Ancient. ⸻ Its pages were torn. ⸻ Its cover almost destroyed. ⸻ Yet one title remained visible. ⸻

He had written, "Sera, you are my entire world. Thanks to you, my world is filled with light again. I will love you and protect you forever. I believe we will grow old together. We'll love each other for the rest of our lives." Seraphina read each line slowly. The piece of paper held 19-year-old Caelum's deep, youthful devotion. When she reached the end, she smiled in silence as moisture pooled in the corners of her eyes. She placed the vow back beside the bloodstone and carried both, along with the pieces of tapestry she had cut, into the garden. There, she lit them all on fire. Wordlessly, she watched as the tapestries and the bloodstone turned into a handful of ash.

“It’s been so long ago I barely recall the exact details. Can you read what you have or do we just continue to play the guess game?” Folding it out, I chose to read it instead. “The Anomaly holds the blood key, born to bring destruction to the order of the pack and its alliance. Destroy before it destroys. P.s: discard the messenger.” By this time, her eyes had gone round like saucers. “Wait, let me see that.” This time, I let her have it. She scanned the content, lips moving as she read along and then her gaze snapped back into mine. “An anomaly? In our pack? We haven’t had that in more than five centuries.”

And who would have thought that he would get the answer not long after reading the book? Hearing Xander's words, they immediately closed the shirt. The first image they saw was a slightly blurred sketch of an object shaped like glass but slightly wide. The writing was also a little blurry, indicating that the book seemed to be an old book that had been around for so long. The display was also a bit dusty, but since the writing was still legible, they approached.

Zaviers hand went to his shoulder right when he went to stand up. I quickly turned around and power walked to the book because I could feel the need radiating off of him. Blake was looking at me with a soft smile that had me smiling more. I quickly looked throught the pages until I stopped on the page that read. 'Broken souls.' I wouldve been confused if I hadnt passed soul breaker a few pages back. I rubbed my hand over the page and watched as a gold ribbon slowly came out of the book. The ribbon twirled around Blake in a graceful manner. The ribbon slowly attacted itself to his body. "I cant move." Blakes panicked tone had me praying that this was right.

Her aunt gives her a small smile and nods, Celine finds the bookmark and opens to the page. The woven bookmark has a faded blue tassel and was made of woven threads depicting wolves running in a forest, at the bottom of the bookmark was an old wolf’s tooth with a hole drilled through to be able to tie it onto the bookmark. She puts it to one side to look at the page it had been marking. It looked much like many of the others she had seen flipping through. But its words had her feeling like her world was slipping through her fingers and she was unable to do anything to stop it.

He bowed and was gone as quickly as he arrived, leaving the heavy satchel behind. I lunged for the bag the moment the tent flap sealed. I untied the cord with shaking fingers and pulled out the book. It wasn't ancient and brittle. It was a modern reprint, but the cover read: Healers' Lore: The Legacy of the Wounded Crown. It was a medical text, disguised as a historical relic.
