There is a bold font that caught my attention right away. Minding what you are doing is the key to slow down time. Maybe, all you need is to put down your phone and focus on the experience. Setting away distraction makes moment feels eternal. I take out my phone and capture the bold font sentences, together with the hand-written note. I quickly shove my phone inside my pocket as I heard footsteps behind me. After putting the book back to its place, I turn around and see Rosie rolled her eyes. Also, that scary guy who is following behind her, with the same sour facial expression as earlier.

I nod and look around. “Where is the book?” I ask. She wasn’t carrying anything when she entered the room. “I always carry it with me, you just can’t see it,” Shanna explains. She mutters a couple of strange words, holds out her hand, and a book appears and falls onto it. The cover is fine leather engraved with a vine-like design that swirls around the edges of a large picture. The picture depicts a woman standing with her arms stretched up above her head. Above her, there are stars in the sky and I swear I see one twinkle. Shanna opens to the first page and I am stunned to see a spell.

They got inside the big submarine and after the last person has entered it, it suddenly disappear as if it has never been there before. Inside a luxurious room in the submarine, an old man could be seen reading a book that looks like a normal school textbook, but it isn't. There is a very huge difference between the two when you look at it very well. The cover of the book was completely black without any text on it. Another thing is that normal school textbooks can only be opened manually but this book opens by itself immediately after you're done reading a page, and the page you've just read will go blank if it was read by another person except for the owner of the book.

When my vision became clear, my eyes adjusted to look at the object very carefully. It was a small leather book. Although I didn't know the contents, I could make out a star-shaped symbol embedded on its forefront. Two inverted triangles were placed on top of each other, forming what seemed to look like a star. Inside of both triangles revealed a large eye, watching as though it sees deep into the soul.

She peered at me through her round glasses for a moment, then smiled again. “Enjoy.” I was then left alone. I simply shook my head. I dug into the contents of the box. It held a number of books, newspapers and photographs. My eyes caught a small leather bound booklet, with the outline of a curved cat pressed onto it’s cover. I pulled it out– ‘A Feline’s Capabilities…The Cat as The Obsidian Circle’s Symbol” it read.

I turned it to the side where there is no dirt and wipe the book using it. I saw a black cover with gold linings and designs. I touch the ribbons that are placed in some of the pages. There are symbols located at the bottom part of the cover, carved and painted in the color of gold, but I don’t understand what it means. I looked at the back but there were just designs. I tried opening it but there’s a metal lock on the side. Huh? Was this… a secret book? It kinda looked like a grimoire.

She ran her fingers along the spines, the gold lettering cool against her skin. Drawn in by the sheer volume, she hesitantly pulled a book from the shelf, a slim volume bound in dark blue leather. The title was etched in silver: The Royal Grimoire of Sacred Oaths. She opened it, her eyes skimming the ornate calligraphy, the intricate diagrams filled with arcane symbols.

My eyes widened with anticipation, but inside, I found only a thick, leather-bound book. The cover was faded and worn, with the strange symbol embossed on it; a triangle with three circles inside. I ran my fingers over the symbol, a chill creeping up my spine. I had no idea what it meant, but it seemed significant, almost sacred. With hands that trembled, I lifted the book from the chest. The pages were thick and yellowed, and an old, musky smell filled the air as I carefully opened it.
