Gloss POV The first thing I noticed when I woke up was noise, not the mechanical kind from the monitors or the hum of the penthouse servers, but soft, rhythmic thoughts whispering through my skull. Not words exactly, more like feelings with voices. Calm, tired, but warm. Dream’s thoughts. He was sitting on the couch across from the cot I’d been sleeping on, his shirt half-buttoned, hair a mess, eyes fixed on his tablet but clearly not reading anything. I blinked, trying to focus, when suddenly I heard it again, a sigh that wasn’t mine.

I did not realize it before, but my line of sight was on something very unusual. ‘Eh? Why is my pillow dark?’ I squinted my eyes before reaching my hand and grabbing it. ‘Not only is it dark. It’s also hard?’ I frowned. ‘Don’t tell me I am still dreaming?’ If my thoughts were still in that battleground, then it was not impossible for me to sleep with hard pillows. In fact, in some of my visions, I slept on dirt without any blanket, with rocks as my pillow.

As I bury my head deeper into the pillow, I sigh in satisfaction and murmur, “It smells marvelous. And it’s so soft and firm.” My head sank into the pillow, and I sighed in contentment. This had been the most peaceful sleep in ages. A soft chuckle filled the air, and the pillow beneath me started to shake. “Thanks for the compliment. Your pillow appreciates it. But if you keep moving, it won’t stay soft,” a voice responded.

' Then we cut off the link as I continued checking the monitors for another hour or so before I finally went to lay down for a bit to get some shut eye. As I drifted off to sleep my mind wandered to Raven, how she looks when she is laying there in bed, her little panties on with a half see through tank top, the way her legs wrapped around the big body pillow she has, her ass on full display as she sleeps peacefully. Walking into that, I always wish I was that pillow, shoved between her legs, pressed against her warmth as her scent envelops me. LYRA’S POV I was awake but I oddly felt too comfortable in my bed and wanted to sleep more, I snuggled into my pillow but froze. My pillow was hard, I tried to squeeze it, but it was not soft. Then, I felt it, my pillow was breathing. Pillows are not alive so why was mine breathing, and it was warm. Feeling that something was wrong, my eyes suddenly flew open and I blinked rapidly trying to adjust my vision to the light.

He was capable, resourceful, and could handle himself in any situation. I pushed the thoughts aside, letting myself sink into the comfort of my bed. The sheets felt cool against my skin, and I nestled deeper into the plush pillows, hoping to find some rest. My mind was still buzzing from everything that had happened lately—from the schemes and the plans to the revelations and the confrontations. I closed my eyes, trying to still my thoughts, but sleep didn’t come easily. It was as if my brain refused to shut down, replaying every detail of the past few days.

The thought alone made me shiver. I rolled onto my side, clutching my pillow.

Daisy I’ve been to the bathroom twice to take a warm shower, hoping it would help calm my body and make me sleep but it’s all to no avail. Each time, I’d come back to bed and just start tossing from side to side while battling with my thoughts. And those thoughts were so mean, my mind was trying to scold me really bad and I just couldn’t take it anymore at a point.

I took a deep breath and thought about how best to get up without disturbing him. He was lying on his stomach with his face towards me. I looked around me and saw one of the feathers from the pillows. While in the heat of lovemaking, one of the pillows had a little mishap, and the result had been a rain of feathers that I found funny and Max found amusing. Yet that hadn't deterred us from getting even more engrossed in— I stopped my line I'd thought . No, I had a mission; I couldn't get distracted. I took a deep breath and tried to clear my mind from the lustful thoughts, and when I did, I had an idea.

I tried to wave the thoughts out of my head but a voice kept panging in my head, telling me all sort of bullshit. I shook my head vigoriously fortunately it helped in getting rid of the impious thoughts.
