The librarian, a wise old man with spectacles perched on his nose, had greeted them warmly and invited them to explore the dusty shelves filled with ancient tomes. As Scarlett's fingers grazed the spines of the books, a particular leather-bound volume caught her eye. Its title, "The Prophecy of the Shifting Stars," called to her with an inexplicable pull. She plucked it from the shelf and dusted off its cover, revealing faded golden letters etched into the leather. Curiosity burned within Scarlett. She opened the book and began to read aloud, her voice barely above a whisper. The words flowed like poetry from her lips, resonating deeply within her soul.

I was stunned it’s here! I entered the bookstore. “Welcome sir how may I help you?” The guy from earlier said. “Where I can find the “Mi Tesoro” book?” I ask. Well that’s my book, a tragic one. “This way sir” Then he led me on the middle part of the shelf. He left me there and I pick a copy of my book. Wow, I didn’t know they bought a lot of copies of my book. Why did they do it? “It’s Red Wrights book sir” A female voice emerge from my behind.

REBORNED Episode seven Then…I saw her. I sobbed. I haven’t cried in a long time And I did. “Nona!” I ran to where her body laid and tried to wake her up by shaking her body vigorously. I saw that two of her legs were scalded by the fire and she could not move. She could not breathe and she kept groaning in pain. Good God, she is alive! I sighed shakily in relief and wasted no time in attempting to carry her up.

It looked as though the place had been ransacked, due to the books being scattered in every direction. I knocked around some of the books with the tip of my sneaker, surprised that not all were destroyed beyond recognition. I picked up one of the many plain bound books and looked at the cover. The top and bottom corner was burned off of the book, and the cover hung by a few threads, but there was still some sense to the handwritten words inside. The cover of the book read, "1836" I flipped the book open to a random pace, surprised to find the inexperienced writing of a child.

Ohh, if I could cut her tongue I'd have done that at that moment. I could feel the weight of everyone's stares and even grandpa Hayes had curiosity etched on his features. My grandpa nudged me, and I moved forward. My steps slow. I brought out a vintage watch from my bag and handed it to grandpa, “It's just something simple” I shrugged. I had saw it at an antique shop and loved it at first sight and knew how well it would fit his temperament. It was a bit expensive, but not too much on the high side so I bought it for him.

Realizing she’d held her breath, Jessie breathed again. Moving to the basket, Jessie found it contained cleaning supplies. He must have ordered her to bring these here. That meant it there wasn’t time to feel sorry for herself anymore. Dust the room. As she dusted, she realized these books were real, and not shelves of fake books like Iron Hill’s were. There was a fortune in books here. Sadly, they were all wasted on her. Reading was something she never picked up. Or found time for. Getting books was hard out in the country.

There is no mate bond, but having him close makes me feel more secure. “I can’t wait for you to see this.” He rubs his thumb on the top of my hand as he leads me to a store. It’s rare Bronx gets so excited about surprising me. We approach a bookstore with a dusty, old window display. In gold paint, there is a picture of a pan flute and a goat. The images are peeling and sundried as if they’ve been there forever. Over the pictures are the words ‘The Barded Goat Used & Collectible Books’.

Susy asked, suddenly animated, jumping up from the couch before taking the booklet from Jenny. “I came across it today at the antiquarian bookstore near the shop,” Jenny said enthusiastically. “Will you lend it to me once you’ve read it?” Susy asked. “You can take it today,” Jenny smiled. “I’m reading something else right now, so go ahead and take it. Just return it when you’re done.” “Thank you so much!” Susy said excitedly, and the girls hugged. Susy sat back down on the couch, Jenny grabbed a few crackers, and then she looked at the guys.

The door opened. Alex stepped in. He was holding something behind his back, and for the first time in days, his expression carried something close to softness. “You’re awake,” he said. “I couldn’t sleep.” He stepped closer and revealed it. A book. Old leather binding. Faded gold lettering. The Complete Compendium of Rare Herbs and Their Lost Properties. My breath caught before I could stop it. I had been searching for this for two years. Every archive. Every merchant. Every rumor.

' She touched his cheek gently. I have.' He patted her hand 'Were you reading?' 'I was about to.' She returned her attention to her book. 'What's the name of the book?’ 'It's a collection of short stories entitled 'A Battle of will'.' 'A Battle of Will,' he repeated, taking the book from her. 'Have you read it before?’ 'I have, it's very interesting.' She said enthusiastically. 'Really?’ 'Very Much.’ 'Mmh, can you read it aloud for me?' He smiled his eyes twinkling. 'Sometimes, I like to listen to others read. And your sweet voice will add to the pleasure.'
