Begin Again

Begin Again

Determined to put her anger and hurt feelings aside, and feign amnesia over the breakroom incident, Eden sat up and took off her glasses and wiped them with the hem of her dress before she snapped them back on. She was about to annoy Liam again and ask him for help with accessing her laptop when Clara and Gibby arrived to save the day. Clara granted her initial access and reminded her to change her password, while Gibby briefed her about Liam's schedule for the day.

Aiza
Almost one of the best. Hence, totally agreed to one of the reviewers chapters leading to the end of the novel less interesting perhaps too much effort in making some catastrophe to the story to put some twist. could have made more effort in making the end not to subtle or too obvious.

Val Sims is one of my favorites. Begin Again is the first of her novels that I read and I loved it so much, I had to read all her other works and I love them also. I hope she continues to write because she tells a good story and her characters are believable.

Returned

Returned

I raised my hands to cast the spell quickly before I got soaked and used it to move the plants onto the porch . I ran back to the porch taking off my now soaked clothes before walking back inside .Closing and locking the door I before headed back to my room to change . On my way up I grabbed the phone off the side table and threw it on the bed . As I was drying off I heard the rain now heavily hitting the house with some wild winds . Once I finished I wrapped the towel around me and walked to my bed and opened the packages . I turned the phone and started programming it. When I finish my phone starts to ring all my notifications, email, etc..

she hisses. Shawn picks up, "Newsflash, the Reversal worked, but sadly it made life a female-dominated hell. We," he gestures between the two of us, "along with other 'rebels' devised a plan to turn the world around. We need to initiate equality, and you can help with step one. We need you to formulate another chemical, and when the time comes to release it--December 31st, 2020, by the way--your gas should be released," he sums up. I'm impressed. Shy Shawn is out the window, and this outspoken and direct Shawn is peeking through... I'm not mad about it.

The Reset

The Reset

"The core of the Reset. You think you’re a thief. You think you stole these years from them." I couldn't speak. I just shook, the tears soaking into the fabric of my shorts. I lived through the fire. I lived through the rain. And every year, when I was about to reach the anniversary, my brain would panic. It would see me laughing with Clayton or enjoying a sunset and it would whisper: How dare you? And then, click. The lights would go out. The "Reset" was the only way I knew how to stay "innocent." If I didn't remember the life I’d built, I didn't have to feel guilty for enjoying it.

He looks at the thing in his hands and then nods. “To have access into the main building, you'll be needing your card or that of a staff. They don't resume until 7 a.m in the morning. You can wait in the reception.” He ushers me to the lounge in the office foyer where I take my seat on a furry white sofa. “Are you saying even Mr Johnson's assistant resumes by 7 a.m?” “ You mean Miss Veronica? “Yes.” “Yes, even Miss Veronica. Only on occasions when there are businesses that wasn't finished the night before or when there are very important meetings to be held.”

THE CEO'S STOLEN SECONDS

THE CEO'S STOLEN SECONDS

I stood there in the dark my hands locked onto the cold copper lever holding it down with every ounce of strength left. The heat from the current warmed the metal beneath my palms threatening to blister my skin. "Please, Leo " I sobbed into the dark tears heavy as they dripped onto my bruised chest. "Please hold on. Thirty seconds. Thirty seconds." The data-pad emitted a crisp electronic tone. The red text vanished, replaced by a green display: WIPE COMPLETE. ROOT ARCHITECTURE COLD-RESET SUCCESSFUL. The hospitals backup generators kicked in. The overhead emergency lights. Then settled into a steady illumination.

The Billionaire Alpha's Revenge

The Source Code Dimension trembled. The sterile, glowing white numbers scrolling across the infinite floor began to violently stutter, bleeding a chaotic, messy crimson. The Prime Analyst’s perfect, symmetrical face twitched. "Error. Target is resisting the Factory Reset. This is impossible. Your base data contains no countermeasures against root-level formatting."

"The frame is frozen. Move." Lina jammed the USB into the terminal. The monitor flared, washing her face in a ghostly blue glow. "What’s the window on the server reset?" Lina asked. Her pulse was a frantic hammer against her ribs. "3:15 AM sharp," Noah said. "When the bank server resets, the verification logic goes blind for ten seconds. It’s 3:14 and forty-five seconds. You’ve got fifteen ticks to hit the gap." "Count it." "Ten," Noah started, his voice tightening. "Five. Three... two... one. Rip it."

The Billionaire's Regret

“Thursday, 2:00.” Sebastian glanced at me. “And the reason Poppy has to be there?” “Biometric reset.” Luca nodded. “Plausible.” “Not too plausible,” I said. “If it’s too clean, people get suspicious. Add that the old procedure requires physical confirmation because the remote credential failed.” Sebastian looked at me for a few seconds. “What?” “Nothing.” “I know that face.” “What face?” “The one that makes me think I should never have taught you how to read contracts.”
