Book Review For Jane Eyre Novels & Stories

I must be the only person in my class that will read a classic novel for anything other than requirement. I couldn’t think of anyone I knew that would pick up Jane Eyre, Little Women, or Tess of the D’Urbervilles for pleasure. In fact, they were not even my first choice. Little Women came in a close second, but Pride and Prejudice will always win out. There was something beautiful about a couple from two different backgrounds traveling along the bumpy road of love until it was undeniable, and there was something even more beautiful about watching that journey happen. “So, what book are you reading?” “Uh,” she laughed nervously. “It's the Sugar Queen by Sarah Addison Allen. It's a pretty cool book.” “Really? Tell me about it.” “Okay,” she drew her chair closer, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. “It's about a woman. Josie, who wakes up to find someone in her closet. Josie is unhappy with her life, and her mother's very demanding. It deals with magical realism in a very beautiful way.” Pride spiked in my chest, coursed through my veins. “You're so brilliant, do you know that?”

"I love getting lost in stories, exploring new worlds and meeting new characters." Claire's smile grew wider. "What's your favorite book?" I thought for a moment, trying to narrow it down. "I have a few," I said finally. "I love 'Pride and Prejudice', 'Jane Eyre', and 'Wuthering Heights'." Claire's eyes lit up. "Those are all classics," she said. "I love them too. Have you read any of the Bronte sisters' other works?"

I missed my mate, my freedom, my friends, Kailin, and everyone at the vineyards. I watched a series about a group of delinquent kids born in space and dropped to Earth to see if the air was already breathable. I finished Episode twelve, and when a particular character pissed me off, I turned it off and went to read something in the study. There were some fiction books, but primarily old books from Jane Austen, Charlotte Bronte, and Herman Melville. There were self-help and meditation books and a book about mystical creatures. I can't believe I'm touching it right now. "Are you really crying?" Lorenzo asks slowly. "Over a book?" "Shut up. You know I love this book." I sniff, wiping my eyes with my elbows. Jane Eyre comes up. Okay. She is an absolute heroine of mine, but a bit too much of a goody-goody-two-shoes for my current requirements. If she had embarked on a riotous affair with Rochester while he was still married, then I could have a use for her. But that was the whole point of the story. She treasured her dignity as an emancipated woman more than a quick tumble in the hay with her boss. I have to rule her out. What does her noble behaviour say about me?

Asher says and Dani nods. “Oh, so do I. Jane Eyre is one of my favorite books. There was another famous sister, Anne. I read her book The Tenant Of Wildfell Hall. Allen handed me the book with an infectious grin, and before I knew it I was staying up all night, completely engrossed in the romance between Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. And when I finished it, he supplied me with more books, for which I was deeply grateful. Allen was like a beacon of hope during those dark days, almost like an angel. I don't talk about her." He walked past me. Reached up to a shelf I couldn't reach even on my toes. Pulled down a book. "Try this one instead." He handed it to me. "Jane Eyre." I looked at the cover. Old. Well-loved. The spine was cracked from being read a hundred times.

“I don’t know. You keep everything in such good condition. I’m almost afraid to touch anything in this room.” “I know you’ll be careful with my things.” She nodded and pulled the book off the shelf. “I didn’t know you liked Jane Austen.” “Why not?” She shrugged. “She’s a woman author.” “I’m broad minded enough to think women have a lot to offer society. I enjoy her work.” “This is one of my favorite books. Sense and Sensibility. The story of two sisters who represent two opposing forces: logic and emotion.” He leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms. He seemed to be considering her analysis of the book. “I didn’t think anyone else in Virginia understood that.”
