Book Review On Dracula Novels & Stories

She felt as if she were outside of herself, looking down, and she became more and more confused. She read. And read. And read. Finally, it hit her like a lightning bolt: this book, it was hers. Her journal. The journal of a teenage girl. A story of coming of age. Of going back in time. Of falling in love with a man named Caleb. Of having a daughter named Scarlet. Of becoming a vampire. She wondered if she were losing her mind. Was this some sort of practical joke? Some sort of fantasy she’d had as a young girl? What was it doing here? How did her grandmother have it? And why was she only drawn to open it now, at this time?

Every rumor I heard was right, he’s never been easy to approach. Then I read the book for another 15 minutes before I suddenly

Dracula. I thought I heard the name somewhere. Yes right, the bloodthirsty king had told me the story of Dracula, the man who made a deal with the Devil. Grabbing the book I looked at its front. It was bound in brown old leather and smelled of dust. I slowly opened it, the pages were cracked and barely holding together. As I looked at the page the first word I read was Draco. Draco, it was what the bloodthirsty king called Lucian.

The remark brought a smattering of laughter from the class. Dr. Clerval smiled. “A poor joke, I know, but one that amuses me.” He shuffled forward to the front of the dais. “Let's have some fun before we get more serious. Another show of hands. How many of you fine young students have read the original Dracula, by Bram Stoker?” Leesa looked down on perhaps half as many hands this time. “Fewer hands, that's obvious,” the professor said. “What else do you notice?”

I had napped for a brief period before I was back in the library, surrounded by books and papers and cold tea. He once pushed me to read the book, Sherlock Holmes, by Arthur Conan Doyle but I refused, I was busy painting some sceneries.
