Book Review Uglies Novels & Stories

He is shivering by looking at the cover of the book. “What is it Al-” Jeje comes to Alfi and remains silent when he sees the cover of the book. “Alfi, don’t tell me it is the one?” Jeje averts to Alfi, err his head turns to Alfi. His eyes are just drawing. How could I forget the fact that Jeje is a Jailangkung with a Gundam head? “Exactly,” Alfi said in a serious tone. “What is it, guys? Why are you so serious?” Kartika approaches both of them. ”What book is that any-” Kartika who sees the cover of the book directly smacks their heads really hard that they pass out.

I knew I was ugly, but hearing my own sister say it still made me shake with pain. "You know what?" She leaned close to my ear. "You're not just ugly. You're stupid, too." I froze, confused by what she meant. "I'm so beautiful and well-behaved, so of course I should be the only princess. Seeing you with a face just like mine makes me sick every time. "When we were eight, I fell off that cliff on purpose. I knew you'd come save me. I calculated exactly where to position myself so you'd get that scar.

“He didn’t come. He’s still at home. I tried to convince him, as did my uncles and aunts who came, but he’s too heartbroken to watch his wife being buried.” Mrs. Rosa rested her head gently on my shoulder. I could feel her sadness too—it was just as deep as mine. “Life is strange, Mrs. Rosa,” I whispered. “I just needed love from someone who would genuinely care for me and protect me, and now that person is gone. You know, I was always the ugly girl everyone mocked at school. If it weren’t for my mother, I wouldn’t have made it this far. Does God really think I’m strong enough to face such a cruel world?”

When we finally broke apart, both breathing hard, his forehead rested against mine. “I’ve got you,” he murmured. “Always.” Sirens grew louder—closing fast. I glanced down at Justin—sniveling, broken, terrified. Ella had run. But she couldn’t run forever. And when I found her? She’d learn exactly how dangerous an “ugly nobody” could be when she stopped playing nice. The next day.

The once-bustling metropolis of Eldridge City was now a silent tomb under a blood-red sky. They moved on foot, staying off the main roads. Every mile revealed new horrors. In a suburban neighborhood, they found families turned — parents still clutching their infected children. Kael had to mercy-kill a little girl who lunged at Serena with tiny fangs. He walked away afterward and vomited behind a car. Further in, they discovered a military checkpoint that had fallen. Soldiers in tactical gear, now mutated, patrolled the ruins. Damien recognized one — a man he had fed from months ago in secret.

The people exchanged glances, and none of them was left unimpressed. Uea saw their looks but didn't seem to mind. Aside from the scent from the male lead, Uea also discovered that with the male lead with him, he wasn't scared of anything at all. Even the gruesome sight of the dead zombies on the ground didn't scare him a bit. This realization surprised Uea as he hadn't written something like that in the book. But then again, none of what had been happening in this arc was in his book. He would just enjoy the moment.

THE UGLIES The first time Robby experienced a night terror, back in the early days of his infection, he had no idea what was going on. Something bitter twinkled to life in his dream, twisting the otherwise innocuous imagery into a nightmare that didn’t end with waking. This was always the worst part. The leftovers. Whatever despicable things the fever conjured in the dream—the uglies, as he’d come to think of them—followed him into reality. There they would linger.

For those who have not yet not yet read my books , they include My roomate wants a piece of me Ugly and Insecure The rejected Nagin.
